She's Gone Where the Goblins Go

Ding dong, the witch is dead.
Which old witch?
The wicked witch.
Ding dong, the wicked witch is dead!

Finally, one last Halloween picture for 2019. The idea for this picture comes directly from JennWrenn on Flickr; she posted a similar picture in October of 2011. I loved it so much I wanted to try it myself. Chocolat Blythe has been felled by a Hallmark ornament house, oh my!

Happy Halloween!

We witch you a happy Halloween!

These witchy sisters are Melomelomew and Enchanted Petal.

Party Potion

At the last minute, Drusilla remembered that the Halloween party invitation said "Bring your own potion." Luckily for her, the gypsy caravan was still in the vacant lot, so she was able to buy a pretty pink potion and still make it to the party on time.

That's Milky Way Sugar on the left, and Daunting Drusilla on the right. Day 30 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Monsters!

Not all monsters are scary.

They are: Neo Blythe Mandy Cotton Candy, Middie Blythe Yellow Marshmallow, and a Littlest Pet Shop Petite Blythe. The pink crocheted monster was a gift I received in a swap a few years ago. Day 29 of 31 Days of Halloween.

A Horrible Day for a Walk

Drusilla took a walk in the pet cemetery yesterday. It was perfectly dreadful in every way, so she had a wonderful time.

Yes, a nearby vacant lot was actually decorated as a pet cemetery, with lots of different tombstones (made of styrofoam) and a different (plastic) skeleton on each one.

It's Time

I can't seem to keep Sarah Shades away from the knife drawer. I made the dress and the pumpkin; the knife looks real, right? It's an image that I printed off the internet, then cut out.

Daunting Drusilla

"Meet me in the cemetery at midnight. Don't be late."

This is a second post today, because Daunting Drusilla showed up yesterday, unexpectedly, after I had already finished taking all 31 pictures for the 31 Days of Halloween challenge. I didn't think I would see her for several more weeks, and I was planning to save her for a Christmas gift to myself--but she's here before Halloween, so I MUST take a few pictures of her! More to come in the next few days, hopefully.

I love that she comes with two outfits. My favorite piece of her stock is the headband; the bow is sewn to the fabric covering the plastic band, and it stays on her head much better than a bow with a clip or ribbon tie. My favorite thing about the doll herself are her red, red lips. Those lips were the deciding factor for me; since I'm not into her goth theme, I had passed when she was available for pre-order. Later, I saw a close-up of her face, and the lips did me in. I am excited to see how she looks in other clothing styles, but for this week I won't tamper with her dark attitude!

Ghost!

Molly knows exactly what to do when she sees a ghost: RUN FOR IT!!!

This Blythe doll is Mod Molly wearing a dress I made. I decided to put this scene together as a flat lay so I could make her hair fan out behind her to add to the feeling of movement. Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween.

The Creepy Caretaker

Much spookier than a ghost or goblin, the old creepy caretaker is the one to avoid when you are taking a shortcut through the cemetery at night.

This hunchback figure and the gates behind him are part of a Halloween village made by Department 56. The Blythe dolls are Sarah Shades and Chocolat Blythe. Day 26 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Jack-O-Lanterns

When she changed the wording on her sign from "pumpkins" to "jack-o-lanterns," business really took off!

Black Cats

Every year the same question arises: which of her black cats should have the honor of riding with Maeve on Halloween night? Last year she drew a name from a hat. This year, perhaps they should have a contest of some sort.

Maeve is my Chocolat Blythe, wearing Milky Way Sugar's stock dress. The Halloween coverlet and pillows are by Angie Coppi of Goodnight Sweet Blythe.

Read Now, Work Later

"I'll worry about the spider webs later...right now, I've got a book to read."

Prima Dolly Amaryllis has always been a dedicated reader. Her big chair came from a local antique mall. Day 21 of 31 Days of Halloween.

What's that noise under my bed?

Poor Prima Dolly Amaryllis is in for a scare when she sees that monster book (which I made from a matchbox.) The cute bat coverlet and coordinating pillow were made by Angie Coppi of Goodnight Sweet Blythe.

Having some Skele-fun

I would make a skeleton joke to go with this picture, but I'm afraid you wouldn't find it very humerus...

...anyway...I brought Sarah Shades with me one day last week when my daughter and I went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg (a great theme park that is just minutes from our home.) The park is all decked out for Halloween right now, so I knew I would find a spot where I would snap a quick picture. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. This picture is for day 19 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Pumpkin Festival

Come one, come all to the annual Pumpkin Festival! Wear a costume or come as you are. There will be games, pumpkin carving, scarecrow making, and pumpkin pie for everyone.

Prima Dolly Amaryllis, Middie Puchippu Chappu Pepa, Sarah Shades, and two Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls enjoy the festivities. The jack-o-lantern water tower is part of my daughter's Halloween town, made by Department 56. Day 18 of 31 Days of Halloween.

The Witching Hour

'Tis "the witching time of night,"
Orbed is the moon and bright.
And the stars they glisten, glisten,
Seeming with bright eyes to listen-
For what listen they?

Creepy

While shopping for Halloween, Eve came across a haunted graveyard decoration. "This one really gives me the creeps! I'll take it!"

She is Milky Way Sugar, wearing a dress I made. The decoration is from Gingercottages.com. Day 12 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Monochromatic Halloween

Halloween is spookier in black and white.

This Blythe doll is Bow Wow Trad, posing with some props from Target that I've collected over the past couple of years. I'm not sure who made the dress, which I found second-hand in a Facebook group. Day 8 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Beware!

A word to the wise: avoid the cemetery tonight. Something weird is going down.

This doll is Chocolat Blythe wearing her stock outfit. I got the little mummy creature in a craft swap on Craftster.org a few years ago.  Day 7 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Pumpkin Time

Ah, finally, it's FALL! There was a big outdoor art event going on in our town on Saturday, and the weather was perfect.  I brought Penny (my Cloud 9 Bowl) wrapped in a towel in my purse. I was hoping to find something scenic for a photo, so I was thrilled when I came upon this little tableau. Doesn't she look sweet? She's wearing a dress with a candy corn print for day 6 of 31 Days of Halloween.

October Fun and Games

It's all fun and games until someone contacts an evil spirit. Don't do it, girls!

These petites are Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls. Their plush friends (pumpkin, owl and candy corn) are a set of Happy Go Luckys from Hallmark. The Ouija board is an image I printed off the internet.

Trick or Treat

In preparation for the big night, Marina is taking the newbie trick or treaters on a dry run. On Halloween they shall leave no doorbell unrung, no candy untasted.

Bus Stop

Why is the midnight bus ALWAYS late? Sarah's broom license has expired and she needs to get downtown to renew it.

What? Two blog entries in one day?? That's what happens when I try to participate in more than one "Blythe a Day" group at a time. I usually post in the group on Flickr, but a friend on Facebook just invited me to her group, 31 Days of Halloween, so I made this picture for today's post in that group. I like that we are free to post anything we want, as long as there is something Halloween-y in the picture, so I think will jump away from Flickr and onto Facebook for this month.

This Blythe doll is Sarah Shades, wearing a dress I made. Her bus stop companions are a Lalaloopsy, and Jiji cat.

Bushel of Fun

Hooray! It's apple picking time!

This Blythe doll is Patty Patch Fluffy Coat; her little apple-head friend is a Sonny Angel doll. This picture is for the theme "Bushel Full of Fun" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
