One of the dolls had the infamous crumbling pelvis, so her legs were in the bag, but not attached. They came in handy for this picture!

 In my little Facebook group called Blythe Pure and Simple, we have a weekly photo challenge. I usually post a picture on the first or second day, but this week I’ve been busy working on pictures for the Blythe a Day group on Flickr that it wasn’t until today that I turned my thoughts to this week’s theme: “You’re so BOO-tiful.” Since Blythe Adores Anna Sui is one of my top favorite Blythes, and since she works well for Halloween with her dark purple hair, she was the one I chose as my model.

I See You

 I peeked in a window, and what did I see? A spooky little face looking back at me!

Ghost

Do not enter the woods on Halloween. There’s not a ghost of a chance you will emerge unscathed.

 “Hello? HELLO? I distinctly heard someone say ‘Bat out of hell.’ Do not summon me if you do not need me. It makes me VERY ANGRY!”

I painted this background when I was experimenting with acrylic paint. When I was done, I wondered what I would ever be able to use it for. Now I know!

Pizza Pie

The local pizza shop devised a way to project an image of a pizza into to night sky; everyone who sees it is irresistibly drawn to the restaurant. That’s marketing genius!

Mystery

 When she walks past the cemetery after work at the blood bank, Drusilla always wonders what the story is with all the elephants on that grave. She doesn’t know anything about it, though, so she just enjoys the mystery.

 Molly had a great haul when she went trick or treating: candy bars, gummy bears, lollipops, and, inexplicably, three rubber chickens.

Words of Wisdom Regarding Ants, and Pants

We wish to offer you some expert advice: when you are enjoying an outdoor picnic, and you discover a line of black wiggles advancing towards you, beware! You may soon have ants in your pants.

Update: Neither Bow Bow Trad nor Mod Molly reported having any ants in their pants after posing for the theme “Ants in your pants” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The beautiful Halloween pillows, and the picnic blanket (really a bed blanket, barely visible in this picture) were made by the fabulous Angie Coppi.

Court Proceedings

 Someday, she hopes to go to law school and then become a judge; but for now she’s just a little girl playing with her toys.

I was super excited when I discovered these plastic kangaroos in my drawer of doll props, because I was having trouble coming up with an idea for this theme. I decided to make it easy on myself and not try to incorporate Halloween into this one. 

Monsters Don’t Exist

This is an actual photograph of the moment when house monsters were first discovered on October 31, 1972 by Elfrida Blythe (the word bubble was later added by her sister, who took the photograph and heard her sister speak this phrase.) Since then, she has become a household name, because everything we know about these creatures is thanks to her years of studying them.

I Smell a Rat
