What time is it when your friend gives you a real live pig for your birthday? Time to build a pig pen!
That’s Playful Raindrops on the left, and Ice Rune on the right. You would never guess from this picture that today’s theme is “Pen,” would you? I couldn’t come up with a dolly size pen (for writing) but I did just bring this lovely celluloid pig home from the antique mall, and I wanted to show her off, so I stretched the theme a bit.
“Be sure all the babies wear hats when you take them out in the stroller,” the sextuplets’ mother told Maisy when she came to babysit. Since hats were all she mentioned, hats were all they wore!
I recently saw some cute pictures of Blythe dolls with antique strollers, and I decided to keep my eyes open for one. Amazingly, when I visited our local antique mall last week, I found this one! I couldn’t believe it, because I’ve been to this mall many times but never have I seen a doll stroller. It’s actually a reproduction of an antique, produced as a collector’s item, brand new in it’s box, and the price was much, much lower than the antique ones online. I’m thrilled with it, and I still can’t believe I found it!
This Blythe doll is Ichigo Heaven. The babies are Sonny Angel dolls. This picture is for the theme “Hat” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

This pretty Blythe doll is Snowflake Sonata, posing for the theme “Repair” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. My artist daughter painted the beautiful picture on the wall.
She scaled the fence—wearing a dress!—so her friend could take a picture of her with the giant sunflowers. The picture was worth it.
This lovely Blythe doll is Blue Rabbit, posing for the theme “Fence” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a mini poster that came with a jigsaw puzzle I just finished. Yes, I chose this puzzle just because I thought it would be a good background for a Blythe picture!

This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, posing for the theme “Silly” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I got the hat in a craft swap a few years ago.

The Swing (Robert Lewis Stevenson)
How do you like to go up in a swing, Up in the air so blue? Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing Ever a child can do! Up in the air and over the wall, Till I can see so wide, River and trees and cattle and all Over the countryside— Till I look down on the garden green, Down on the roof so brown— Up in the air I go flying again, Up in the air and down!
This Blythe doll is Cousin Olivia, taking a test ride in the swing I put together using a piece of cardboard and some decorative cord. The picture is a flat lay, so it was easy to make her stay put on the seat! For the theme “Swing” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

This Blythe doll is Float Away Dream, posing for the theme “Hot” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The idea for this picture is very much like the one I did a few days ago for a similar theme in a different group. I cut out two different giant ice cream cones from the same pad of scrapbooking paper, and used different dolls to make each picture unique.
When you find the shoes of your dreams, you should buy them—quick!
This Blythe doll is Leading Lady Lucy, posing for the theme “Shoes” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I tried to make it look like we are seeing her through a store window, using her own box front, which has such nice artwork on it. This box has a front panel that opens away from the rest of the box, so I didn’t have to cut it off for this effect.
This LOVE-ly Blythe doll is Elegant Ellie, posing for the theme “Love” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

“Flying may not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price.” - Amelia Earhart.
This beautiful Blythe doll is Picnic Al Fresco, posing for the theme “Flying” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I’m dedicating this picture to my mother, who, as a young woman, took flying lessons and got her private pilot’s license. She was a fun-loving person and did it on a whim. Go, Mom!
Just because something is free doesn’t mean you should take it.
This Blythe doll is Sweet Bubbly Bear, posing for the theme “Hugs” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I found this weird door at the local antique mall. It has a hanger on the back so it can be displayed on a wall. I bought it because it is Blythe-size, but when I got it home I wondered how I would ever use such a creepy looking prop. Here’s the answer! It will probably be good for a Halloween picture too.
