I’ve started a new hobby known as adult coloring. It’s much harder than I expected it to be, especially because many of the members in the Facebook groups I’ve joined are professional-level artists, so of course I compare my efforts to theirs and see that I have a lot to learn! One of the groups has a weekly coloring contest, and the background in this picture is what I did this week. It’s a page from a book called “The Best of Color It”. The challenge was to choose any picture you like, and to color it with only four colors. I used blue, green, brown and red pencils, and took advantage of the white paper to include white in the picture too.
This Blythe Middie is Francoise Ananassa. Middies are a much better size to pose with coloring book pages than my beloved Neos, so I will probably be taking more pictures with Middies now.

The broccoli is a baby rattle! It was so cute I couldn’t leave the store without it. Also, broccoli dress! It’s by Button Arcade. We’ve had it for many years, but this is the most perfect picture for it. I just scrolled through Button Arcade/Kyle Ruth’s photo stream of past dresses and it was made in 2008. Seeing all those adorable dresses makes me want to dust off my sewing machine! Let’s see if the feeling gets translated into action in the next few days.
The colors in this picture reminded me of a fun woman I have read about, the Green Lady of Brooklyn. Have you heard of her?

Float Away Dream has a great view of Paris in this picture for the theme “Balloon” in the Blythe Pure and Simple group on Facebook. I’ve wanted to do a picture like this ever since I got her. The background is a jigsaw puzzle that I chose with this in mind.
She is a Blythe, after all, so how could she be anything other than extraordinary?
I’m loving my new Brenda’s Extraordinary Day. Every piece of her stock outfit is wonderful. I like her hair length, not too long, not too short; and the light brownish-red color is gorgeous. Her name says it all!

A sweet dolly friend gifted me the red/white/black outfit which Cadence Majorette is wearing in this picture (thanks, Nok AB!) It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland, so I’ve used it in a reimagined version of Alice falling down the rabbit hole (portrayed by Song of London Mary) in which her sister falls down with her.
