I like The Lion King as much as the next person, but…I just wasn’t inspired to go in that direction with the theme “The circle of life.” Concentrating separately on the words “circle” and “life”, and asking myself “What do I have on hand that is round and has the word ‘Life’ in its name?”, there was only one answer, and my picture turned into an advertisement for Lifesavers!

A good way to get past writer’s block, or any sort of creative block, is to stop thinking about it for a while. Do something else, like get some exercise, clean the house, surf the web, etc. Later, you can go back to the project with a fresh perspective.

I’ve done several rainbow-themed doll pictures in the past, and I wanted to do something different. This cute piñata that I had sitting in my doll room was the answer! I picked it up at Target months ago without a plan for it, and it really came in handy. The background of this picture is a chalkboard. I snipped up colored paper for the confetti.
