June Color of the Month

 I love doing Pantone-inspired doll pictures. This is Candy Carnival, posing for the theme “Relax” in the Blythe Pure and Simple group on Facebook. I’ve done this theme several times before, with a doll reclining on a sofa or chair, reading a book, so this time I wanted to do something different and hopefully unexpected. I’m posting this on the last day of May rather than in June because my June calendar is FULL! I will be participating in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr, with mostly prehistoric daily prompts, so my dolls will soon be meeting some dinosaurs.

Yellow

This beautiful Blythe doll is Prima Dolly Marigold, posing on a jigsaw puzzle from Cobble Hill. I’m not sure what color I will do next; there will be a bit of a break while I focus on all things prehistoric for the Flickr Blythe a Day group in June. At first I didn’t think I would participate because I didn’t have a dinosaur to my name, but I realized that if I placed an Amazon order, I could have everything I need very quickly, and I could expand my dolly photo horizons…so I did, and I’m already working on some pictures for that. The other color puzzles will have to wait!

Lady Panacea is posing on a jigsaw puzzle I just finished. I splurged and bought the whole set of these color puzzles from Cobble Hill—seven separate colors and one rainbow puzzle. Up next: yellow.

 

Play Ball!

“Keep your eye on the ball”—that’s good advice in sports and in life. If you lose sight of what’s important, things go downhill fast.

These Blythe dolls are Cadence Majorette and Yellow Marshmallow. This is the third picture I’ve done for the photo challenge theme “Playing favorites”…and yes, I realize that I have concentrated on the word “playing” and totally ignored “favorites!” Part of the fun of photo challenges, for me, is following my inspiration, even if I don’t follow the theme exactly.
