Aaaaahhh! RUN! No one wants to meet with a harrowing demise!
This is not my usual type of picture; even at Halloween I like to keep things light and cute, but I came across the phrase “harrowing demise” on a hand-painted poster at my local theme park (Busch Gardens, Williamsburg Va.) and it sparked my imagination. I looked it up just to be sure I understood the meaning of “harrowing”— it means “acutely distressing or painful”—so yes, that is exactly the type of demise that would best be avoided!
