Charlie Brown Christmas

Cecilia: adopter of stray dogs and Charlie Brown Christmas trees.

Cecilia is my Cinema Princess Blythe doll. Since this picture is for the theme "Charlie Brown Christmas," I thought about making the tree more Charlie Brown-ish by cutting off some of the branches...but I didn't want to ruin my $5 tree from Target!

Wrap it Up

With a roll of tape and a pair of scissors in her hands, Cece is a genius at gift wrapping. She's so good, in fact, that she opens a pop-up shop in the mall every December.

I always love photographing Cinema Princess--that hair! Those eyelashes! This picture is for the theme "Edward Scissorhands" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

The scissors (with moving parts) and tape dispenser (with a tiny roll of real tape!) are part of an Our Generation dolls play set, sold at Target.

Cecilia Said Red

When she was asked her favorite color, it came as no surprise that Cecilia said, "Red".

Cecilia is my Cinema Princess Blythe doll. I've twisted her hair up onto the back of her head (and held it in place with many hair clips). She is wearing the stock dress from Love Mission.

Cecilia (Cinema Princess) and Maximus. Together forever.

Cinema Princess Got Her Horse

For Cecilia, it was love at first sight.
For Maximus, it was all about the carrot.

This is Cinema Princess, wearing her stock riding outfit, which is surprisingly detailed and complete. Since she came with a riding outfit, she needed a horse, and I really like this one, which I found at WalMart...he is Maximus from the animated movie Tangled. I remember watching that movie and thinking that the horse was the best character, and I guess the toy manufacturers must have agreed.  He was more interesting-looking than the Barbie horse on a nearby shelf. He has a gorgeous long mane and tail with sparkly threads in them, as well as a saddle and bridle. Oh, and yes, he did come with that carrot!

Cecilia

I recently had a birthday, and--no surprise--I bought myself a new Blythe doll!

I've wanted Cinema Princess for quite a while, as much for her gorgeous box as for the doll herself, so when I found her at Mandarake, I placed my order. (Side note: Mandarake is awesome! I've bought several dolls there, and they arrive from Japan as quickly as they would arrive from a few states away. I paid on Tuesday and she arrived on Friday--and this has been my experience every time.)

Below: birthday haul.

She came with two stock outfits, and a beautiful pink chair. There are so many tiny accessories--a full set of jewelry to go with this gown, plus shoes, gloves, and a crown; and then there is a riding outfit, which I haven't opened yet...it has about a dozen pieces. So. Much. Stuff. I wanted to take a quick picture of her with these beautiful tulips, which my mother sent me, while they are still fresh; in the coming week I will try to take a few more pictures to showcase all the things that came with her.

I've named her Cecilia. And wait a minute--a riding outfit? Does this mean I have to find her a horse??
