An ATC for Daphne

On Plastic Paradise we have a monthly ATC (Artist's Trading Card) challenge. This month the theme was "friendship". I have had the idea in my head for weeks, and I finally pulled out paper and glue yesterday to make the card. I am working towards the goal of having a card for each of my dolls, so I chose Daphne (a Candy Carnival Blythe) to be the featured doll this time. She doesn't get much camera time, even though she's one of my very favorite dolls--I need to do something about that!

The card is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches, the same size as a standard playing card.

Daphne thinks it is awesome!!

Two Dresses

Alice and Eve are modeling the dresses I sent to Poshdolly in our first Blythe swap on Plastic Paradise.

I knit this dress using a pattern on Ravelry, called Flirty Dress for Blythe by Jane Pierrepont.  The shrug is another free Ravelry pattern, called Shrugs and Kisses by Maggie Baird.

Alice's "housewife" style dress started out as the free Party Dress pattern on Puchi Collective, and I added the collar and apron to make it more "50's" looking to suit my partner. I love this fabric pattern--it's little fish bones!

February Calendar Girl

I am pleased to announce that my Wendy has been chosen as the calendar girl for the month of February on Plastic Paradise!  Here is the winning photo:

I had a basket of hearts sitting on the table, so I just arranged Wendy in the middle of them. Then I edited the picture on pixlr-o-matic to get the interesting boarder.

Wendy is a little embarrassed by all the attention she is getting...I just hope her fame doesn't go to her head!

Swap!

Not too long ago I came across a Blythe forum called Plastic Paradise.  Have you heard of it?  I understand that it has only recently returned to cyberspace (I don't know the details, but apparently Blythe Kingdom was a spin-off from it, and then PP disappeared.)  In it's current incarnation, there has not yet been a swap, so I called upon my Craftster experience and got one started.  The swap (called simply "Our First Swap") is open for sign-ups RIGHT NOW, so if you are a Blythe owner looking to make and share Blythe clothes, accessories, and related items, I invite you to come to Plastic Paradise and join us!  Sign-ups close soon, though, so hurry!

Candy says, "I want YOU to join our swap!"
