BlytheCon Brooklyn Raffle Prizes

At the end of my last post I teased you with a picture of me clutching this box in glee...and one reader actually knows what's inside. Colette messaged me to say that she suspects that it contains a set of bedding, and an actual bed, from Florence and Taylor on Etsy, and she is correct!

Look at how gorgeous this is!! Layer upon layer of soft and beautiful covers, and a lot of matching pillows, two of which have Brooklyn and BlytheCon images on them. The color scheme is so soft and pretty.

The bed is quite lovely too, with the tufted headboard. What you can't see is that the set also includes a perfect little mattress. I wish I could sleep in this bed, but I have to leave it to my Blythes. Maisy, my Spright Beauty, seems to love it.

I still can't believe I won this fabulous gift. Thank you Abi Monroe!

But wait--there's more! I won another prize in the raffle drawing: this very cute Blythe-sized bicycle. It's pink! Perfect! Bridget (Allegra Champagne) will be the first to give it a try.

It's hard to believe, but I still need to make another post to show you the rest of the loot I got from BlytheCon Brooklyn. My goody bag was full of fun little things that I want to show off.

Ethereal Beauty

This is Maisy, my Spright Beauty. She is the most unique Blythe in my collection. Some of my other dolls have pink hair, or translucent skin, or pale coloring...but none of them have PINK EYELASHES! That's what I love the most about her! I also love that she came with stock sleep eyes.

New Dress

Wearing her pretty new dress for the first time, Maisy can't decide if her sleeves are too long, or her arms are too short!

Maisy is my Spright Beauty Blythe doll. I'm quite excited about the way I acquired her pretty new dress: there is a wonderful Blythe doll clothes maker in Berlin, Germany, called Miema Dollhouse. Once a month or so, she offers a few packs of her clothes for just $25, but you have to act FAST to get one! I happened to notice her announcement 45 minutes after she posted it on Facebook a couple of weeks ago, so I rushed to her website ( Miema Dollhouse ) and quickly put a pack in my shopping cart. As I tried to check out, it was sold to someone else! So I tried again with a different one, and again it sold before I could pay. Guessing that everyone else was looking at the first few packs on the page, I went to the last one, put it in my cart, and...I got it!! Yay!!! It arrived about a week later, and I am quite pleased with the number of items I received for the price. In addition to the clothes, she included a pad of Blythe-themed note paper, another pin like the one on the yellow dress, a card, and a few pieces of German candy. You can see it all in the photo below.

Blue Bear

I belong to a group on Facebook called "Blythe Pay it Forward", and I recently won a giveaway there--yay!  The prize is this cute blue teddy bear made by Maria van Bruggen, aka Blythe Fairy Tales on Etsy.  Maisy quickly grabbed him before any of the other girls had a chance. Thank you, Maria!

She was still clutching him when she fell asleep.

Maisy is my Spright Beauty Blythe doll. She is one of the few stock Blythe dolls who have "sleep eyes"...she has an extra string that you pull to make her eyelids stay closed.

Favorite Outfit

Favorite Outfit

Around here, our favorite outfit is always the newest one! I whipped up this dress and hairbow with Maisy in mind; after all, shouldn't the newest girl get the newest outfit? I love these colors on her, and the cute deer print on the skirt.

The Beauty of Nature

Blythe a Day May 25, 2015
The Beauty of Nature

A natural beauty, enjoying the beauty of nature.

This is Maisy, my newest girl who is a Spright Beauty Blythe doll. I pre-ordered her from CC Toys based on her pre-release drawing (I'm a sucker for the pink haired girls, plus, she has sleep eyes--which means she has two strings instead of one, one of which closes her lids and changes the eyes, the second of which opens the lids). When I saw actual photos of her I was a bit worried...she is "translucent", so her face tends to look very shiny and a little strange in photos. But all is well because she is gorgeous in person, and she is my new favorite doll!
