In the weeks since Sweet Bubbly Bear (right) joined my dolly collection, I've wanted to take her photo with Unicorn Maiden (left)--and here it is. Each of these pink haired beauties is gorgeous in her own way. I'm so happy to have them both.

Pink Spring

Yesterday's "Happy Spring!" picture got a lot of positive comments on Facebook. One person wondered how it would look with a pink background. Since I hadn't dismantled the arrangement of Unicorn Maiden with flowers, eggs and ribbon, I just slipped a sheet of pink paper underneath her and took the picture again. Here it is! It's pretty, but I must say that I prefer the black background for the contrast it provides. What do you think?

After the long, cold gloom of winter, suddenly, it's SPRING!

This is Prima Dolly Cassis. The background is a canvas painted by my daughter Jenna. The blooming trees came from Target.

This beautiful face belongs to Lady Camellia (I call her Emiko.) I recently found this pretty dress on eBay; it's from a maker in Ireland. It suits Emiko very well, I think. Even though I can (and do) make clothes for my dolls, I like to add things made by others to my collection, for more variety in my photos, and so I can see what techniques someone else used in their sewing. Since I am mostly self-taught, it helps me learn and grow as a sewist. (You'll notice I didn't say "sewer" because that could be misread as the place where waste water goes!)
