Always Fresh

Claire loves to shop at the farmer's market at the park. The vegetables are always fresh, and best of all, there is no preposterous packaging!

Cousin Olivia is the salesperson and I Love You It's True is the shopper. The market stand is a Barbie toy. For the theme "Preposterous Packaging" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

As I was adding the above photo to the Flickr group, it I thought it might look better cropped to showcase the market stand, so here it is, cropped. I like the second version better (sorry Heidi/Cousin Olivia!), but it is starting to look grainy from being cropped so much.

Peace

This is I Love You It's True. She was the third Blythe I bought, back in 2013, and I rarely photograph her any more, because, compared to my more recent acquisitions, she is a bit plain...but she makes a great hippie, so she is perfect for this picture! For the theme "Bohemian Peace" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

Hello Yellow (and Blonde)

As I continue to photograph my Blythe collection arranged by hair color, I've now come to the yellow/blonde-haired girls. Aren't they pretty?

Cousin Olivia and Playful Raindrops have hair that is almost exactly the same color (PR's is just the tiniest bit darker under certain light). Ice Rune's hair is slightly more orange than theirs. I had a hard time deciding where Mrs. Retro Mama fit into this lineup! Her super-bright yellow hair really makes her stand out.

From my sewing room, a small voice can be heard: "Hey! I have blonde hair too!!!" That would be the gorgeous Dauphine Dream, who still resides in her box. I didn't have the time or the energy to release her before taking this picture. Soon, though...I plan to take her with me to Colonial Williamsburg in August, when I meet up with another Blythe collector there. DD's stock dress will fit perfectly into the time period of that restored historical area.

Here are their stock names, from left to right:

I Love You It's True
Kenner
Cousin Olivia
Playful Raindrops
Ice Rune
Prima Dolly Marigold
Mrs. Retro Mama

Birthday Chair

As she headed to her favorite chair with her first cup of coffee, Claire was truly surprised to discover that Bree and April had gotten up extra early to wish her a happy birthday.

From left to right, they are: I Love You It's True, Lena Elena, and Nellie Nibbles.

This is the second in a series of Blythe photos using our favorite chair as the centerpiece.

April Fool

Kitty decided to wait a few days to play her April Fool's Day prank; that way her sister was caught completely off guard!

Here's the sleep mask "in action" that we received from Angie, along with pillows, that I showed off in my previous post.
