Cuteness Abounds

Here's hoping you have a very cute Halloween!

A Lalaloopsy, Sonny Angels, and a Momiji black cat gather around a mystery Blythe doll to amp up the cute factor. Day 11 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Bus Stop

Why is the midnight bus ALWAYS late? Sarah's broom license has expired and she needs to get downtown to renew it.

What? Two blog entries in one day?? That's what happens when I try to participate in more than one "Blythe a Day" group at a time. I usually post in the group on Flickr, but a friend on Facebook just invited me to her group, 31 Days of Halloween, so I made this picture for today's post in that group. I like that we are free to post anything we want, as long as there is something Halloween-y in the picture, so I think will jump away from Flickr and onto Facebook for this month.

This Blythe doll is Sarah Shades, wearing a dress I made. Her bus stop companions are a Lalaloopsy, and Jiji cat.

Halloween Wish

The Neo Blythe is Spright Beauty; the Middie Blythe is Francoise Ananassa. The half-naked boys are Sonny Angels from this year's Halloween collection; aren't they cute? I love that they are in pastel colors; that's what inspired me to use pink-haired girls in this Halloween picture. The black cat girl in the front is a Lalaloopsy mini from a few years ago.

Be a Doll

They have the art of "being a doll" down to a science!

Pretty Peony (Neo Blythe) and Melomelomew (Middie Blythe) are joined by a representative sample of all the different types of dolls in my doll room. For the theme "Be a Doll" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

Life is But a Dream

Row, row, row your boat
gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
life is but a dream.

I am so happy to be back to making doll pictures again!

I've just finished rearranging my house, so now all my dolls, along with all their clothes and photo props, are upstairs in the bedroom that used to belong to my son. (He has been out of the house for a couple of years, so I thought it was safe to use his old room!) I also transferred everything from my old sewing room which was downstairs, up to the new space, so I now have a big studio where I can work, and I can close the door to keep out the cats when I'm done. Up until now I've had a small sewing room with no door, and all my dolls and photography props had taken over our small dining room, which also has no door. I knew it would be a huge and difficult task to move it all upstairs, which is why it has taken so long to happen, but I am so glad I finally did it.

Now that the dust has settled, it's time to be creative with dolls again--yay! In today's photo,  Pretty Peony and her friends might be floating down a stream in bathtubs; or perhaps they are safe at home, only imagining this adventure.

Magical Afternoon

As always, the annual Summer Kickoff Party was a magical afternoon of friends, food, and fun.

Chocolat Blythe takes charge of the grill, while Nellie Nibbles looks doubtful about Lalaloopsy's ability to eat that whole hot dog. For the theme "White Magic Afternoon" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

Kozy Kape

While everyone else was enjoying the warm weather, Gerda (aka The Snow Queen) had only one thought:

"Will winter...never...come???"

Wearing her stock cape, Gerda Eternity is playing the title role in this photo for the theme "Kozy Kape" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. In the background are Middie Nellie Nibbles and Neo Chocolat Blythe. Do you like the dolly-size grill in the background? I found it recently at Target for just a couple of dollars.

Words of Wisdom

The only way to have a friend is to be one.
                                                     --Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is Mandy Cotton Candy; I call her Paisley. Her friend is a mini Lalaloopsy who came in one of the new "blind box" paint can packages. I love the surprise of blind boxes, and I love Lalaloopsies, so I was excited to get one, and I am very pleased with this little girl When I read the insert that came with the package, I had a second surprise: these Lala's are not unique to the paint cans; they seem to be nothing more than the regular Lalaloopsies, repackaged! I'm so glad I didn't get one I already have! The paint can is cute, and although the scale of it is a bit big for Blythe, I hope to find a way to use it with my dolls (after removing the label, of course!)

Warm and Cozy

When it's cold outside, it's so cozy on the sofa by the fire.

This is April, my Nellie Nibbles Middie Blythe doll, holding a Lalaloopsy mini doll. The pretty throw and pillow were made by Angie Copie (Goodnight, Sweet Blythe on Facebook.)

Moving In

Blythe a Day Aug. 15, 2015
Moving

Lila and April want the Lalaloopsies to move into the house with them, and they are taking matters into their own hands. The tables, chairs, lamp and bed are all going inside so the Lala's can be comfortable. The girls want to get them settled before their big sisters notice what's going on--it will be too late to stop them then!

Fish!

Fish

Claire was surprised that on her very first try, she caught a fish! (But she's going to throw him back...he's too cute to eat!)

The Little Mermaid

Blythe a Day June 14, 2015
Tell Me a Story

Kitty never gets tired of hearing the story of The Little Mermaid, and her big sister Paisley never gets tired of reading it to her.

Rainbow

Blythe a Day June 3, 2015
Rainbow

I've photographed a "rainbow" of  my dolls before, so to make this picture a bit different, I've included some other little dollies. The cubbyhole shelves are new; my husband bought them for me for my birthday. They are the perfect size to display my Sonny Angels and mini Lala Loopsies.
