I've been looking for dolly photo inspiration this week, and it finally came to me in the form of an invitation to this month's Blythe a Day group on Flickr. Yay! I made this picture for June first's theme, "Say Something Nice," featuring Stella Serendipitous. Beautiful Stella Serendipitous is one of my two silver haired Blythes; Leading Lady Lucy is the other one. I thought two was enough, but after posing her for this picture, I'm seriously thinking of trying to get my hands on Dark Rabbit Hole! This picture is #17 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

They are wearing dresses from Junie Moon that arrived too late for Christmas last year, so this is the first time any of my dolls have had a chance to wear them. Aren't they are gorgeous dresses? I recently saw someone dress their Stella Serendipitous doll in pale pink, and she looked lovely--and completely different than she does in her stock dress that is bright red and black. Now that I know she looks so good in soft pastel colors, I expect to photograph her a lot more, because I couldn't think of what to put on her before; she's been wearing a silvery-grey dress for ages!  Here, she is wearing the stock dress from Jane LeFroy. I bought it in a Facebook group several months ago because I think it is beautiful, but I haven't been inspired to dress any of my dolls in it, until now. Isn't it perfect on her?

What's Your Favorite Color?

Last week I watched the movie "Elf." I've only seen it once before, in the theater when it first came out. It's been so long that most of it seemed new to me! I laughed out loud when he answered the phone with: "Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?"

Anastasia (Stella Serendipitous) would be quick to reply, "SILVER!"

Paris in Winter

Everyone else thinks Paris is the most enchanting 

in the springtime...but Anastasia prefers Paris in winter. 

She wears her fur coat, strolls the boulevards, 
and enjoys the sights without the bother of crowds.

Introducing: Stella Serendipitous

Stella Serendipitous is the Blythe who was waiting for me under the tree on Christmas morning. She's gorgeous! She is my first silver-haired girl, and she is the perfect compliment to her BFF, Allegra Champagne.

Her dress is especially well-done; the huge, floor-length ball gown skirt is removable, revealing a super-cute short dress. I love that she had a different piece of headgear to wear with each look: the crown is amazing with the ball gown, and the "ruby" studded headband is perfect with the short dress (although the crown looks great with the short dress too, as you can see in my picture!)

Her necklace is interesting: it is a string of black beads with velcro for the closure! I've never seen that before.

She also comes with pretty dangly earrings, and a clutch bag. Although she doesn't come with stockings or tights, she does have lace undies are nicer that most of the recent stock dolls come with.  I totally love her shiny red pull ring--it really completes her look.

All in all, she's a fabulous girl and I look forward to seeing how she looks in other styles and colors.
