This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly London, wearing a Blythe Happy dress. Thank you Angie for giving me the idea for this pun! I was really scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to come up with another picture, and this is perfect, because we have a lot of shoes! This picture is #19 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

Shoes Me
This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly London, wearing a Blythe Happy dress. Thank you Angie for giving me the idea for this pun! I was really scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to come up with another picture, and this is perfect, because we have a lot of shoes! Plenty of Room
This Blythe doll is Milky Way Sugar, wearing a Blythe Happy dress that just happened to fit this theme perfectly. I was happy to have a chance to use these giant mushrooms again; they are made to be a yard ornament, but I love how magical they look in a doll photo. There's No Cause for Alarm
Beautiful Stella Serendipitous is one of my two silver haired Blythes; Leading Lady Lucy is the other one. I thought two was enough, but after posing her for this picture, I'm seriously thinking of trying to get my hands on Dark Rabbit Hole! Donut
Picnic Al Fresco knows what she likes...she likes donuts.
Isn't this truck the cutest thing? I just got it online from Rose & Rex; it was too fun to pass up (I also got ice cream, taco, and hot dog trucks! Now to think of ways to use them.) This picture is #16 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

Pizza
Elegant Ellie gives off a whole different vibe when she's dressed casually in a t-shirt and skirt vs. her elegant stock outfit--she's quite versatile that way. This picture is #14 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

Appeal
I just ADORE Mrs. Retro Mama in this vintage Skipper dress, and red shoes from Cherry Beach Sunset's stock outfit. I never want to change her into anything else. This picture is #13 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series. Yes, I know, another banana-themed picture! What can I say? Bananas are funny.

Unbearable
Snowflake Sonata is one of my favorite Blythe dolls, mainly because of her hair--it's long, straight, and PINK! This picture is #12 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series. I made the outfit, and the cute blue bear was made by Maria Van Bruggen.

Watch Your Step
This Blythe doll is Cadence Majorette wearing a Blythe Happy dress. I made the banana peel out of polymer clay several years ago for a different picture of a dolly slipping and falling; I'm glad to get to use it again! This picture is #9 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

NUTS!
This Blythe doll is Simply Sparkly Spark wearing a dress made by my swap partner Sandie. My friend Susan suggested this pun, and it worked out great! This picture is #8 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

That's No Yolk
This beautiful Blythe doll is Bow Wow Trad. I made the dress; the fried egg hair clip is from missdoolittles on Etsy. This picture is #5 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

Valentine's Day 2020 #1
I had a burst of inspiration yesterday: wouldn't it be fun to do a series of Blythe photos in the style of those kitschy Valentines, full of silly puns, that I remember exchanging with my classmates when I was in grade school? YES! So here's the first one. I have quite a few ideas for more of these, so I plan to post them regularly between now and February 14th. I hope you will enjoy seeing them; I know I will enjoy making them!
Join me if you feel so inclined; I would love to see your take on this idea. Also, if you want to borrow one of my images to use on your timeline, go right ahead (and if you would be so kind as to give me credit for the photo, I would appreciate it.)
