I Heart Hearts

Prayer Flag #4: Love

I love hearts so much that one year I made a heart every day, and blogged about it. Clearly, my swap partner knew this when she made me this prayer flag for our craft swap. She also knew that I love purple, green and blue! This Blythe doll is Simply Lilac.

Tough Choice

Which skirt? Hearts or plaid?

This Blythe doll is Winterish Allure, and her wardrobe is predominantly RED!

Love

The Bible said it, the Beatles said it, and now, Anna Sui says it. Love really is all you need.

The new Blythe a Day group for September starts today (of course, because it's September 1st)--but, the list of themes is usually posted a week or more before the new month starts, so everyone has time to think about it and start on the first couple of pictures...this month however, the list wasn't posted until this morning, so I had to get BUSY if I wanted to participate. Fortunately, the theme "Love" is an easy one for me, since I "love" hearts and have a lot of them! Anna Sui is wearing a dress I made with a heart pocket; the little stuffed hearts were part of a 365 Heart a Day blog I did a few years ago; and the heart artwork was something I received in a craft swap. I've done pictures for this theme before, so I wanted this to somehow be different, and I accomplished that with the colors: I avoided the obvious pinks and reds and, using the heart artwork at my starting point, went with turquoise and purple instead.

Show Me a Sign

Jane knows a sign when she sees one.

Jane is my Kenner Blythe doll.

I made these hearts for a blog project in 2012; a friend who knows I love hearts suggested that I should do a blog for which I would make a heart every day and post it. So I did! It was really fun, but as with all projects like this, there were days/weeks when I couldn't manage a heart every day, so I would make up for the lost days by mass-producing hearts for a couple of different projects. You can find that blog here: 365 Sewn Hearts.

Wreathed in Love

I took this picture with my iPhone camera; I'm trying to learn to shoot and edit pictures to my satisfaction that way (I usually use a "real" camera and edit in Pic Monkey).

This is Kat, my Kaleidoscope Kustoms doll, peeking through my Valentine wreath.

Hearts (Again)

Blythe-a-Day, February 2: Hearts

This is a re-do of a photo I took last week, of two dolls with my heart collection. I made changes to emphasize the "heart" theme: I used dolls that have red and pink hair; their outfits have hearts on them; and the hearts are arranged around the dolls to form a large heart.

I often look at pictures I've posted and notice a few things I would like to change to improve the image, so this time I went ahead and did it!

Heart Collection

Of course you know I have a Blythe collection, but did you know I have a heart collection too?

Hearts are one of my favorite things. A couple of years ago I did a sew-a-heart-a-day challenge (the blog is HERE), and many of the hearts in this picture are from that; others are from craft swaps. It's so fun to see my dollies with my hearts!

Wendy is Simply Lilac and Hope is Simply Peppermint. They were released by Takara in 2009 and have the RBL face mold.
