Knitting Machine
Emiko has learned to knit, and now she just can't stop. This Christmas, it's a sweater for everyone!
This Blythe doll is Lady Camellia, posing for the theme "Create" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. She must be my alter ego, because I LOVE knitting these little sweaters! I always have one in progress on my needles. In fact, that's the one I'm working on right now, on the needles she is holding. And yes, I do have enough dolls to wear all those sweaters!

Winter Plans
Bring on the cold, the ice, the snow,
the winds that blow without quitting.
My home is snug, my larder is full,
I'll spend the whole winter knitting.

Hat Check
Before heading out the door, Vera always checks to be sure the angle of her beret is "just right."
This is Vera Florentine, wearing a hat I just knitted with her in mind, since I've decided that she always needs to wear a hat. She looks good in any strong color, not just orange or yellow.
I found this mirror recently at Barnes and Noble; it is one of a series of decor items based on the movie "Kiki's Delivery Service." The cat, mug, and flower jar are all glued in place...unfortunately! I was hoping I could move them around and use them individually in different photos.

Knitting is Nice
Sonny Angel had been complaining of the cold
so much that Marina took pity on him
and decided to knit him a sweater.
This is my new Sonny Angel, Pansy, and my Playful Raindrops Blythe doll.

Craft and Creating
Blythe-a-Day Feb 23, 2015
Claire and Eve catch up on their gossip while knitting sweaters to donate to the local homeless shelter. (Claire might need to do a little less talking if she wants that sweater to be wearable...)
Claire is an I Love You Its True Blythe doll (2004, SBL) and Eve is a Milky Way Sugar Blythe doll (2008, SBL).

Knitting: The Results
One hour later, after taking a break from her knitting, Faith returns to find that Calliope has a surprise for her.
Faith: "Whaaaat? My dress is finished!!! Thank you, Calliope, it looks amazing--how did you do it so fast?"
Calliope just smiled a secret smile, and didn't mention that she has magic knitting needles.

Knitting: First Lesson
Faith: "Oh no, I've been knitting this for HOURS and it looks terrible! All that time wasted. This is only good for the trash can."
Calliope: "Don't say that, Faith! It just needs a little help. Why don't you take a break and let me see if I can do something with it?"
Faith: "Okay, thanks Calliope, but only a magician could fix this."
Come back tomorrow for the conclusion of this drama.

Knitting: Off to a Good Start
Calliope: Thanks for helping me with my yarn.
Faith: My pleasure! It's the least I could do; after all, you DID agree to teach me to knit. When do we start?
