Fashion Favorite

A simple sleeveless dress with a fitted waist, wide skirt and an interesting hem...fun shoes...something in the hair...that's the recipe for our favorite fashion style.

I had so much fun editing this picture (using PicMonkey) that I've included two bonus edits, below! The theme for today is "Fashion Favorite." The girls kindly agreed that the dresses I make for them are their favorites! Thanks, girls!

It's Sushi Time

When life get stressful from school, work, hurricanes, or elections, Calliope and Ellie get some take-out sushi. Sushi makes everything better. 

All the little props on the table (and the chopsticks) are a set of Barbie accessories. My friend Susan W. sent them to me as a surprise, along with another set that I will feature in an upcoming photo. Thanks so much for thinking of me, Susan!

Fly a Kite

Calliope is a fantastic babysitter. First, she made kites for the neighbor boys and herself; then, she took the boys to the park. Before flying the kites, however, she sat them down to tell them the most important rule: "Whatever happens, don't let go of the string!"

Calliope is my Can Can Cat Blythe doll. I love her blue hair! The little boys are called Sonny Angel dolls; these two were a gift from my daughter for my birthday--aren't they cute?? They come in a "blind box" so you don't know which one you will get (they all have different headgear.) I made the kites out of scrapbook paper.
