Skate Date in Beijing

With their hearts set on the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, these girls are on the ice morning, noon, and night. 

For the theme "Skate Date," (in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr) I rounded up my three girls who came dressed as ice skaters, and added Prima Dolly Marigold to the mix because I have an extra skating costume...which happens to be from Skate Date herself! My dolly friend Susan gifted me the Skate Date stock along with a lot of other Blythe clothes recently. Thanks Susan!

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

Marina suspects that Jubilee may be a world-class liar.

Let's Build Something Together

After working on their model of Tower Bridge for three hours, Jubilee and Tillie had only managed to assemble the little bus. They both began thinking that it was time to find a new hobby. 

Look at how tiny this bus is! All the pieces of this model are made from perforated paper. You are supposed to punch them out, fold tiny flaps, and glue them together with the tiniest dabs of glue. The picture of the model on the box looks awesome, but I have absolutely no motivation to go any further now that I have finished the bus!

Jubilee and Heather like to pretend they are old enough to drink, but it's really just grape juice in those wine glasses.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Hi, it's me, Jubilee. I went to the theme park this week...Busch Gardens is just a short drive from my house. (Leslie drove me, of course.) Here I am, trying to decide if I will ride that roller coaster or not. It turned out, not! It's a fun place to go, even if you don't ride the rides. There's lots to see, and if you're hungry you can get Dippin' Dots like I did!

Sorry I look a little blurry here; Leslie was trying to hold too many things in her hands at once and this is the best she could do.

Fashion Favorite

A simple sleeveless dress with a fitted waist, wide skirt and an interesting hem...fun shoes...something in the hair...that's the recipe for our favorite fashion style.

I had so much fun editing this picture (using PicMonkey) that I've included two bonus edits, below! The theme for today is "Fashion Favorite." The girls kindly agreed that the dresses I make for them are their favorites! Thanks, girls!

I love this one that looks like a Polaroid. Since the sides are cut off, it has a very spontaneous quality to it.

Haunted Carnival

Although she is usually the first one in the gate of a travelling carnival, Jubilee suddenly felt a sense of foreboding 

that caused her to hesitate and ask herself, "Should I?"

You wouldn't guess it to look at them, but these girls are huge Star Wars fans. They have a massive collection of action figures that they use to create scenes that were never actually in any of the movies.

Jubilee has become quite well known as a portrait painter. When asked what are her favorite colors, she always replies, "All of them!"

All of the little portraits in this photo are ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) made by my friend and fellow Blythe enthusiast, Sara Ricer ( mountains and clouds ). We traded ATC's about a year ago. I love her colorful style!
