This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly London, wearing a Blythe Happy dress. Thank you Angie for giving me the idea for this pun! I was really scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to come up with another picture, and this is perfect, because we have a lot of shoes! This picture is #19 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.

Under the Bed
"Where's my book?"
If Prima Dolly London would clean under her bed occasionally, she would know where her book is. (That reminds me, I need to go look under my bed for something...)
For the theme "Upside Down" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

Love is All Around You
Happy Valentine's Day to YOU!
I chose Prima Dolly London for this picture because her hair is the perfect color for today's Valentine theme. She's sitting on the lid of a Godiva chocolate box, which my dear husband gave me when we celebrated Valentine's Day on Monday...because today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, and a day of fasting for Catholics, so eating chocolate and going out to a big dinner wouldn't work for us today! The card with the panda bear came in the mail from one of my Facebook dolly friends; what a nice surprise that was.

Reindeer Flight
What started out as a harmless prank turned into an exciting adventure, when she tied her neighbor's pet deer to her wagon and he suddenly took flight!
This is my favorite kind of picture--silly, and not too "slick"--you can see that it is composed of ordinary props, yet the composition almost seems real in a cartoon-ish way. This is a flat lay--it's the only way I could get the reindeer to fly! The doll is Prima Dolly London.

All You Need Is...
LOVE. It's all you need.
It was surprisingly difficult to decide what to do for the theme "love". There are so many ways I could have gone with it, but most of them felt too much like Valentine's Day to me. In the end, it was the simple solution that worked the best.
Simply Lilac, Prima Dolly London, Prima Dolly Amaryllis, and Cloud 9 Bowl.

Pink Agreement
They don't agree on everything, but they always agree that there is no such thing as too much PINK!
They are Ichigo Heaven (left) and Prima Dolly London (right). Yes, their hair is exactly the same color, and almost the same style. The main difference between them is that IH is RBL and PDL is FBL.

Just Do It
When there's an unpleasant household task to tackle, London takes a deep breath and tells herself, "Just do it!"
Prima Dolly London is the girl in charge of the bathroom this week.

Sheep!
When the girls heard that today is Dolly Day (marking the birth of Dolly the Sheep, the first mammal successfully cloned from an adult somatic cell), they all rushed to their closets to find something appropriate to wear.
Calliope (Can Can Cat), London (Prima Dolly London), and Promise (Little Milk Heart).

Pink Hair
I've left out my peach-haired girls from this line-up...the difference between peach and pink can be quite subtle, so I understand that some people might classify them differently. I was going to include Dainty Biscuit, and I actually took a picture with her in the group, but she just didn't look right and I had to take her out--even though her hair is officially "pink". Another confusing moment came when I realized that Prima Dolly Peach has pink hair! That's her, second from the right.
Here are their stock names, from left to right:
My Melody X Blythe--Softly Cuddle You and Me
Snowflake Sonata
Ichigo Heaven
Prima Dolly London
Prima Dolly Peony
Charlotte de Fleurs
Sprite (sometimes spelled Spright) Beauty
Prima Dolly Peach
My Little Candy

Mod Style
London. She's mod, and she knows it.
Prima Dolly London rocks her mod stock dress, paired with the very high white boots that belong to Prima Dolly Melon.

Strawberry Question
This is the most recent Sonny Angel to join my collection--and he is my favorite! I love his pink strawberry head and his matching pink cheeks. He is just plain cute!
When I started thinking about it, I wondered, why did they make his strawberry head pink, instead of red? Then I remembered that a while ago, I made the pink strawberry pincushion in this picture. Why? Because pink is pretty! So I guess that answers my question about the Sonny Angel.
Of course, I chose London (Prima Dolly London) to pose for this picture because of her pink hair. I made her dress several years ago, and it is almost perfect for this theme...although now I wish I had made that strawberry pink too!

Good Boy!
Blythe a Day on Flickr
Theme: Outdoors
Last week I noticed that in the kid's meals at McDonalds, the prizes are plush toys from the movie "The Secret Life of Pets". I mentioned to my husband that they might be cute as dolly picture props, and the next thing I knew, he had gone to McDonalds for lunch and brought me the toy! This is Max, the first one in the set, and he is surprisingly well-made for a kid's meal freebee--I really think he's cute! And yes, he IS a good prop to go with my dolls--I feel that Blythe looks a bit cartoonish with her big head, so cartoonish props work well--and I foresee quite a few more trips to McDonalds in the coming weeks (there are 10 different toys). It's a good thing I like cheeseburgers!

London has learned that love and patience
are the keys to successful obedience training.
Treats help too.

Sailing
Blythe a Day on Flickr
Theme: Sailing
Although she seems perfectly mature to her friends at school, London secretly makes paper boats that she likes to sail in her bathtub.
She is Prima Dolly London.
This is one of those themes that I wasn't sure what to do with at first. I got the idea for the paper boat from a discussion on Facebook about making newspaper hats for Blythe, and someone mentioned also making paper boats. Aha! A place to start with this theme, "sailing". Then I considered setting up an outdoor scene, indoors, with fabric for the water and several dolls sailing their boats...but I thought it might be too complicated to make it look believeable in the photo. So then I stopped thinking about it while I learned to make paper boats. They are really easy and so fun! And the best part is, before you finish the boat, you actually have a paper hat in your hand! Then it turns into a boat! I learned so much today! Hooray for learning new things! Here's a link to the Wikihow page that will walk you through it, if you would like to make one too: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Paper-Boat The boat can be any size you want, you just have to use a bigger or smaller piece of paper; so I thought about a tiny boat that a doll could sail in a bowl of water, or a washtub, or a...BATHTUB! Hey, I have a dolly bathtub!! This is going to be great! (And I think it is!)
It's surprising how much time and effort it is to try to put together a good photo. For that reason, I am going to take a break from the daily pictures for a while; I'm behind on my sewing and need to get caught up! I will take pictures when inspiration strikes, and maybe I will get back to one-a-day next month.

Hearts
Blythe a Day June 15, 2015
Heart
Hearts are my favorite symbol, so it's no surprise that they appear in my dolls' wardrobe and accessories, not just for Valentine's Day, but all year round.
These dolls are, from left to right: Prima Dolly London, Curly Blue Babe, and Precocious Candy's Mushroom.

Candy
Blythe a Day June 10, 2015
Candy
I am a BIG fan of candy...and my dolls take after me!
This theme gave me lots of ideas, so I ended up with two photos. When choosing the dolls for my models, I was hoping to use one or more of them who have "candy" in their name (Candy Carnival, My Little Candy, Precocious Candy Mushroom, or Mandy Cotton Candy). However, none of them have bright pink hair, and that's what I wanted to go with this background, and this dress with candy on the skirt. So it's Prima Dolly London (London) in the first picture, and Ichigo Heaven (Ellie) in the second picture, who did the honors.

Off With Your Head!
Charlotte's obsession with "Alice in Wonderland" is really getting old.
The pink-haired girl is my Prima Dolly London (whom I call London). Charlotte is my Precocious Candy's Mushroom Blythe.
