My Little Candy

Is this what Heaven will be like for a candy lover?

This is My Little Candy--the obvious choice for this picture, for the theme "Heaven."  I wanted her to wear her stock outfit, but I couldn't find her skirt...and then I didn't want to take off her stockings (they are so hard to put back on!) So she is wearing her stock from the waist up. Oh wait! Those are her stock shoes.

I happen to be a BIG candy lover, so there is always candy on hand, which made this an easy photo to put together. My Little Candy was one of my first Blythes, and I was attracted to her because of her pink hair and her candy theme. I made a point of buying the other girls with "candy" in their names: Candy Carnival (I have two of them!), and Precocious Candy's Mushroom. Sadie Sprinkle (whom I also have) is closely related to them; I would call her theme "sweets."

There's Something On Your Face


At the same moment, Hope and Claire noticed a ladybug crawling on Lanie's face, and moved to swat it off. Silly girls! Neither of them realized they each had something much stranger on their own faces!

These girls are Hope (Simply Peppermint), Lanie (My Little Candy), and Claire (I Love You It's True).

As soon as I got My Little Candy, the name Candy just seemed right for her, and I've called her that ever since...until this photo. I happen to love this dress on her, but it has an "L" on the heart (my pink haired girl Prima Dolly London--whom I call "London"--usually wears it). I decided the only thing to do was to give Candy a new name, starting with "L", so Lanie it is!

I am a BIG fan of candy...and my dolls take after me!

This theme gave me lots of ideas, so I ended up with two photos. When choosing the dolls for my models, I was hoping to use one or more of them who have "candy" in their name (Candy Carnival, My Little Candy, Precocious Candy Mushroom, or Mandy Cotton Candy).  However, none of them have bright pink hair, and that's what I wanted to go with this background, and this dress with candy on the skirt. So it's Prima Dolly London (London) in the first picture, and Ichigo Heaven (Ellie) in the second picture, who did the honors.

Candy is an experienced seamstress, and she has a large collection of beautiful fabrics.  She says that choosing which pretty pattern to use is the hardest part of sewing!

Heather and Candy teamed up to find the BIGGEST egg at the Blytheville Easter Egg Hunt! Now comes the hard part: carrying it home!

These Blythe dolls are Prima Dolly Violet (Heather) and My Little Candy (Candy). I received this huge, beautiful egg from my husband on Easter a few years ago; it was full of Godiva chocolates!

Meet Quinn Ashlyn Baylee Fallon Tatum Aria. She goes by a different name every day, depending on her mood--she's funny that way.  To help her friends know what to call her on a given day, she wears her name embroidered right onto her dress. She's thoughtful that way.

This is Candy, my My Little Candy Blythe doll. And no, those dresses aren't all hers! They were a custom order.
