Winter Walk

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

Winter Beauty

"To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake it is necessary to stand out in the cold."

Snow Much Fun

If they had remembered to bring a thermos of hot chocolate, their afternoon of snowman building would have been perfect.

The Blythe on the left is Unicorn Maiden (wearing Ice Rune's stock outfit) and on the right is Snowflake Sonata (wearing Lavender Hugs' stock outfit.)

Merry Christmas to All!

Ice Rune and Cousin Olivia are sledding your way to wish you a happy Christmas day!

Skating Weather

Finally--it's skating weather! Chloe's off to find a frozen pond.

I hope I'm not rushing the winter season too much! It's just that, now that the weather is colder, I'm ready for some frosty landscapes! I know that a lot of the eastern US got snow yesterday. Here in Virginia, it was just cold rain. Yuck!

Chloe is my newest Blythe, Cream Cheese and Jam.

Get Ready

It's the perfect day for a snowball fight. Ready?

This is Raspberry Sorbet wearing an outfit I made just for her...brown and pink are her colors. The scarf was an experiment that turned out well. The snowball is actually a little ball of felted wool. The background is a piece of scrapbook paper. It looks quite realistic, doesn't it? We rarely get snow here in southeast Virginia, but we just got half a foot of snow overnight--I could have taken a picture like this outside today!

Dashing Through the Snow

My daughter and I were happy to discover that one of my Petite Blythe dolls could fit in this antique sleigh-shaped planter she bought this summer. Little Polly takes a ride through the "snow" on our fireplace mantel that's been decorated for Christmas. You can see the whole display in the second picture.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house!

Snow Day

She's just a little girl in a great big snowy world.

This is Bonnie, my Raspberry Sorbet Blythe doll. We got our first snow of the season yesterday, here in Williamsburg, Virginia--about 8 inches. The snow plow hasn't come near our road yet, so we aren't going anywhere for a while.

Transparent

Even if their tiny voices can't be heard inside the house, their body language makes their wishes perfectly transparent.

Let's Build a Snowman!

When Grace and Bonnie awoke, they saw it had snowed in the night! They quickly dressed in warm clothes, and ran out to build a snowman.

Snow!

On Friday we had snow.
On Tuesday and Wednesday (today), it was over 70 degrees.
Candy doesn't know what to make of it!
