Off to the Races

The annual Neighborhood Pet Races are a favorite summer activity for everyone in Blytheville. Who will win?

The Neo Blythe is Picnic Al Fresco. The Middies are Cool Pool Lemonade, Yellow Marshmallow and Smiley Waffle. The animals are Littlest Pet Shop pets.

Fortune Cookie #2

Her fortune said: "People are naturally attracted to you."
"How could a cookie know so me so well?" she wondered.

Today's fortune is brought to you by Blythe Adores Anna Sui, wearing a vintage Kenner Blythe dress. I chose her to be the center of attention in this picture because I too am very attracted to her--she is one of my top favorite Blythe dolls. The Neos in the back are Mermaid Tasha (left) and Winterish Allure (right); the Middies in the front are Cool Pool Lemonade (left) and Lena Elena (right). Fortune Cookie series #2.

Summer Solstice

"It's the summer solstice, you say? We had no idea."

I'm happy with how this sun turned out. It was easy to make; I just cut long triangles of construction paper using my paper cutter, and then traced around a plate and cut out the yellow circle for the center. I arranged it on the floor, on a large piece of orange fabric from my stash, and voila!

Let's Go for a Hay Ride

Everyone waits patiently for Maximus to accept his carrot bribe; then Cowgirl Joy will hitch him to the wagon and the hay ride can commence!

Perhaps the cute dolls in the foreground (Middies Cool Pool Lemonade, Yellow Marshmallow, and Lena Elena, and Neo Unicorn Maiden) kept you from noticing the cool new barn backdrop I found at World Market this week. I love it, although it's really big and heavy; but it has hooks on the back so it can be hung on the wall...which will be a good way to store it when it's not being used for dolly photos.

Got Your Number

There are two things Jane hates: surprise parties, and being reminded of her age. All her friends know it, and still, THIS happened.

Shades

As soon as they put on their shades, they feel totally cool.

They are Cool Pool Lemonade (in her stock dress and sunglasses) and Cherry Beach Sunset (wearing a dress by an unknown maker, and someone else's sunglasses--but I don't remember whose.) I bought Cherry Beach as soon as she came out because I didn't have a tanned girl in my collection. She is great in every way! I resisted Cool Pool as long as I could, simply because I don't use Middies in my photos as much as I do my Neos...but then, when I got tickets to Blythe Con Brooklyn, and the theme was "tanned," I quickly bought her so I could bring the two of them with me. When the time came, however, I decided to pack light, and Cherry Beach was my only Con doll!

Pictures in the Clouds

When they had eaten all the picnic food they could manage, the girls relaxed on the quilt and looked for pictures in the clouds.

These Blythes are Lady Camellia (Neo), Cool Pool Lemonade (Middie), and a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe doll.

Outdoor Play

Even though she loves to read, Maddie quickly tossed her book aside when her friend appeared at the window, asking if she could come outdoors to play.

That's Cool Pool Lemonade with the book, and Francoise Ananassa (named June) at the window.

I've recently discovered that people have been using some of my photos without either having my permission or giving me credit for the photos, so I'm going to try to remember to "sign" my pictures when I edit them from now on. There's my name, right under Madie's leg.

Hey Froggie!

Can you tell me the way to the pool?

This is Maddie. She is Cool Pool Lemonade, and she joined my dolly family on Mother's Day. I already have her big sister, Cherry Beach Sunset. Since I have tickets for BlytheCon Brooklyn in October and the theme doll is "tanned girls", I'm thinking of bringing them both with me...if I actually go! (We'll see what happens.)

I made this photo is for the Blythe a Day group on Flickr; the theme is "frog."
