Rabbit, Rabbit

Did you say "rabbit, rabbit" when you woke up this morning? It's a way to ensure good luck for the month when those are the first words out of your mouth in the new month. I started doing it in college, when my roommate told me about it. When I got married I shared it with my husband, and now he is the one who usually reminds me! You can read more about it on Wikipedia.

As usual, I made a new wallpaper calendar page to use on my cell phone for the new month. The scenery behind Mod Molly and her dog Max is a reflection of what it looks like outside my windows here in Virginia right now. If you like this picture, feel free to use it on your phone too!

This Blythe doll is Mod Molly wearing a dress I made. I decided to put this scene together as a flat lay so I could make her hair fan out behind her to add to the feeling of movement. Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween.

Jack-O-Lanterns

When she changed the wording on her sign from "pumpkins" to "jack-o-lanterns," business really took off!

This is Mod Molly...again...I've had her for several years, but this is the first time I've used her for autumn and Halloween pictures. What was I waiting for? She's perfect!

This is Mod Molly in her stock dress and socks (the hat is by Elifins, and the boots are from Supabonbonniere2 on Etsy.) She has the perfect coloring to represent autumn.

Portrait of Jane

Jane was in total shock when she saw the gift her sisters gave her: 

a life-size portrait of herself, painted by a famous artist, 

in honor of her one-year anniversary in the family.

Now THAT'S a gift!

This sweet Kenner Blythe did indeed come into my dolly family one year ago, on Christmas day. This year, my daughter Jenna painted her portrait for my Christmas gift! I love it!
