September 2018 Calendar Page

This doll is "My Melody x Blythe Softly Cuddly You & Me"...whom I always refer to as simply My Melody or just Melody for obvious reasons! She is one of my very favorite Blythe dolls, perhaps my second favorite after Blythe Adores Anna Sui.

For this September calendar page, I started with a pretty scrap booking paper for the background. Melody's dusty-rose colored hair made her the perfect doll to pose with it, and I just happened to have this dress which picks up all the colors in the background...I especially like that it seems to blend into the background where the two touch.

This picture is intended to be used as wallpaper on a cell phone; feel free to use it if you like it. I use it on my lock screen (you can see how that looks in the second photo.) Just view this page on your phone, then tap the photo to save it. Then go to your phone settings and choose it as your wallpaper (I had to adjust the size slightly to make it fit on my screen, it's just a bit too big as it is.) It's a little gift from me to you, and I hope you enjoy it.

Here's a quick tip from Hannah: "When applying your makeup, use a good powder to remove that glaring shine. You'll be glad you did!"

I made this picture for the theme "Kiss and Make Up" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr...even though it's only the "makeup" part! I just got this very tiny and detailed Rement set and I needed to use it.

What's Her Name?

Although "Unicorn Maiden" is a great stock name, it's not what I want to call her every day! So I will call her Joy.

Be a Unicorn

Always be yourself...unless you can be a unicorn. In that case, always be a unicorn. 

Unicorn Maiden has arrived! I very much like this dress on her, and I love that it can be either a dress or the underskirt for her long-sleeved outfit, which I will photograph next time.

Catching a Wild Pokemon

Pokemon Trainer Citrine gets psyched every morning with with these inspiring words from her favorite film, "The Pokemon Movie."

The Pokemon in this picture, and the ball she is holding, are Shrinky Dinks I found recently while doing some rearranging in my house; my son drew them when he was about 10 years old--the first time Pokemon was popular. It has had a resurgence in popularity recently, due to the smartphone app "Pokemon Go," which my husband and I like to play.  

Vacation

At the Cat Park

Happiness happens...at the Cat Park!

Always Fresh

Claire loves to shop at the farmer's market at the park. The vegetables are always fresh, and best of all, there is no preposterous packaging!

As I was adding the above photo to the Flickr group, it I thought it might look better cropped to showcase the market stand, so here it is, cropped. I like the second version better (sorry Heidi/Cousin Olivia!), but it is starting to look grainy from being cropped so much.

Packing the Essentials

When packing for a trip, Gerda always includes her favorite snowflake panties.

On the first day of science class, Lena had a bit of a shock: she'd never before seen a cutaway model of the human body, and she didn't like it!
