What's On Your List

Here's another "guess the theme" photo for the Distancing with Dolls group on Facebook, brought to you by Anna Sui. This one was too easy though; everyone knew that it was Bucket List! I wonder, would it have been better without the bucket as her footstool?  That might have been less obvious but still possible to guess.

Do you have a bucket list? I really only have one thing that I want to do, and it's kind of silly: I want to participate in a jigsaw puzzle competition! Our local library had one recently and I can't believe I missed it. Ugh. Hopefully it will happen again.

Drop Me a Line

The current lock-down situation is the perfect time to rediscover the joy of writing letters the old-fashioned way.

This is my most recent entry for the "guess the theme" photos in the Facebook group Distancing with Dolls. The theme is obvious if you can identify the thing on the left side of the table...and no, it's not a stick of butter! (That's what my husband thought it was.)

The Best Time

There's no time like the present...to show you this picture! I made it for the Facebook group Distancing with Dolls, in which we try to guess the theme of different pictures. The photo I posted in the group did not have the words on it, of course--that would have spoiled the game; I added them later so I can use this image for an all-occasion greeting card. I will write something inside like "...to say Happy Birthday" or " to wish you a happy anniversary." Lolli (Sweet Bubbly Bear) thinks it's a fabulous idea.

Focus

Recently on Facebook I've noticed a surge of interest in this pretty Blythe doll, Curly Blue Babe. I bought her when she first came out in 2014 because I love fantasy-haired dolls. Why don't I photograph her very often? I guess it's because I have so many dolls now (80 or so) that the newest ones get most of my attention.  Here's my Anna, wearing the stock dress from Strawberry Creamy Cute and the stock hat from Border Spirit, which just happen to go together perfectly.

Sweet Bubbly Bear

Life is a journey; enjoy the ride.

This is the newest girl in the house: Sweet Bubbly Bear. She arrived a few weeks ago but I was very good and saved her for my birthday. She is amazing! Her hair is soooo long, and very pink, with lots of purple too. Everything about her is sweet and fun! In this picture she's riding a Barbie scooter that I bought last year but never bothered to open. I guess I was waiting for this girl to come along and claim it, because she looks perfect on it. I'm thinking that a candy- or sweet-themed name would work for her. I already have My Little Candy, whom I call Candy. Any suggestions?

It's So Easy

Can you guess the theme of this picture? I made it for a game we're playing in a Facebook group called Distancing with Dolls. It's really fun! It started with two people who posted pictures with secret themes. The rest of us try to guess the themes. At the end of the day, the names of all those who guessed correctly are put in a drawing to be the next two people to post. For my turn, the person who drew my name was nice enough to give me three themes to choose from, which made it really easy for me to come up with a picture...in fact, it was A PIECE OF CAKE!

This Blythe doll is Sea Sailor See. Her short hair makes her very easy to photograph, so she shows up in my pictures rather frequently.

Candy Land

Simple pleasures are the best.

Prima Dolly Cassis and Daunting Drusilla discovered an old board game in the back of the hall closet when they were looking for something to do. I loved Candy Land as a child too!

Go for a Walk

Everything's closed, but a person is still free to walk down the street...right?

This is Sarah Shades wearing a new dress and squishy boots gifted to us by our friend Angie.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Whose birthday is it today? It's MY birthday, woo-hoo! In light of current events, all regularly-scheduled birthday plans have been cancelled. Instead, I will go through the drive through at Starbucks for my free b-day coffee. Dinner will be take-out from Red Lobster (I have a weakness for coconut shrimp.)

This pretty Blythe doll is Cream Cheese and Jam, posing with a fun pin I bought to wear today. My birthday is highlighted! Isn't that awesome! Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Ewe are Special

Yesterday, when I posted a scripture-themed photo for Sunday, I noticed that I had forgotten to post the one I made for the previous week! Here it is; I hope to continue this for a while, so there's no reason to hold it until next Sunday. This lovely doll is Sadie Sprinkle.

Water

Have a peaceful Sunday, everyone.

This Blythe doll is Veronica Lace. The scripture verse is from Psalm 42. The stream was surprisingly easy to make; it's just some shiny blue fabric bordered by green felt, with decorative moss rocks (sold as vase fillers) as accents.

Read Read Read

"Hmm...I wonder what I should do today?"

This Blythe doll is Penelope, my Snowflake Sonata, wearing a dress from The Windy Hill on Etsy. I hope she decides to read today! Next to Blythe-ing, reading is my favorite thing to do. I just finished "The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek," by Kim Michele Richardson. It is based on real people who lived in the Appalachians in the 1930's; I enjoyed the story and I learned a few things! Are you reading anything good right now?

Look Inside

We all have questions. Isn't it nice that a fortune cookie can tell us where to find the answers?

This beautiful Blythe doll is Unicorn Maiden. She's wearing a dress we recently received from the Blythe Pay It Forward group on Facebook; thank you Kimberly Cook for organizing the giveaway, and La Rose Ray for donating the dress. We love it! Fortune Cookie series photo #4.

Fortune Cookie #3

I thought this must be the silliest Fortune Cookie fortune ever--until I saw how cheerful Daphne and Waverly look, posing for this picture. Let's all wear shoes that make us happy today!

These Blythe dolls are both Candy Carnival, wearing Blythe Happy dresses. Fortune Cookie series #3.
