I received a surprise today: this fabulous Blythe outfit from my friend Sandie. She crocheted the dress and hat in such a wonderful shade of blue; I knew it would be perfect with Simply Thumpty Thump’s hair—and it is! Usually I dress this doll to look like a girl in her early teens, but this dress proves that she can look like a classy young woman too. Thanks Sandie! You made my day!

This picture is for the theme “Boxing Day,” and after Googling it, I still don’t really get what it is, so I decided to think of it as an extension of Christmas Day. That’s Picnic Al Fresco handing out boxes from the back of this new scratcher thing we got for our cats from Target…you can only see the back, so you’ll have to trust me that it’s the cutest little Christmas-themed train engine. It took a while to put together, partly because there are a lot of pieces, and partly because various cats wanted to try it out while I was still assembling it. It seems quite sturdy, so hopefully it won’t suffer a collapse, like the cute taco truck did that we got last year. The other Blythes in the picture are Tokyo Bright, Prima Dolly Cassis, Nellie Nibbles, and a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe whose name I don’t remember.
Fani Flamingo got the most perfect gift from her Secret Santa on Christmas Eve: flamingo earrings!

It’s made by Byer’s Choice for their dolls, but it works great for Blythe…and the best part is, I got it for half price when a local store was closing! All the nutcrackers on the stand are fixed in place. I bought the big one, next to the stand, when we lived in Germany.

This Blythe is Lady Panacea, holding a real, tiny cake. I took extreme liberties with today’s theme in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr, which is “Bake a Homemade Fruit Cake.” I had trouble coming up with something I was happy with for the theme as it is written, so I just went with the word cake. I think it’s okay because ultimately, I’m the one who has to be happy with my picture. And I am.
Is it possible to have too many gingerbread houses, or cats? No and no!
