Daphne would like to share her original poem with you. It's called "Blue".

Daphne is my Candy Carnival Blythe doll. Blue is a wonderful needle-felted creation by violetpi on Etsy. And yes, I do wish I had two! Maybe I need to do something about that...

Sally is a budding photographer. She never wants to miss a great shot, so she carries her camera everywhere she goes.

This is Sally, my Miss Sally Rice Blythe doll. The camera was part of an inexpensive accessory pack for Our Generation dolls, which I found at Target.

Favorite Outfit

Blythe a Day May 28, 2015
Favorite Outfit

Around here, our favorite outfit is always the newest one! I whipped up this dress and hairbow with Maisy in mind; after all, shouldn't the newest girl get the newest outfit? I love these colors on her, and the cute deer print on the skirt.

Maisy is a Spright Beauty Blythe doll.

The Beauty of Nature

Blythe a Day May 25, 2015
The Beauty of Nature

A natural beauty, enjoying the beauty of nature.

This is Maisy, my newest girl who is a Spright Beauty Blythe doll. I pre-ordered her from CC Toys based on her pre-release drawing (I'm a sucker for the pink haired girls, plus, she has sleep eyes--which means she has two strings instead of one, one of which closes her lids and changes the eyes, the second of which opens the lids). When I saw actual photos of her I was a bit worried...she is "translucent", so her face tends to look very shiny and a little strange in photos. But all is well because she is gorgeous in person, and she is my new favorite doll!

Where My Blythes and I Live

Blythe a Day May 13, 2015
Where I Live

I am LOVING today's theme, because as you can see, I have a very nice set of steps leading up to my front door--these steps are PERFECT for lining up my girls and taking a group shot.  I'm surprised I never thought of this before! We are located in Williamsburg, Virginia, and the weather was perfect to be outside taking pictures.

Yes, it was a lot of work hauling all 40 of these lovelies outside (and then back inside again). They came as they were, and luckily everyone was dressed! A few are barefoot, however. I did this as quickly as I could because I didn't want to be out there when the school bus dropped off the neighborhood kids, so not every girl looks perfect, but it is a nice bright photo and I'm pretty happy with it.

Crazy Cat Lady

Blythe a Day May 10, 2015
Bright Colors

It doesn't bother Tillie when her sisters warn her that she's going to turn into a crazy cat lady--she considers that a compliment!

Today's theme is Bright Colors, and since almost all of my pictures have bright colors, I considered this a "free" day! I've been wanting to feature the incredible cat artwork you see on the wall behind Tillie; that was a swap gift from a friend on Craftster. She asked for pictures of all my kitties, and this little banner (which fits into a matchbox) is what she made. Her name is Kira Nichols, and you can find her blog HERE.

Tillie is my Simply Bubble Boom Blythe doll.

Let's Bowl!

Blythe a Day May 6, 2015
Sporty Girl

Penny only participates in one sport: bowling--but she loves it passionately! As the captain of her bowling team, she has led her teammates to victory in the state-wide championships three years in a row!

Penny is my Cloud 9 Bowl Blythe doll. She came with this awesome outfit, including the retro glasses. The bowling pins are real, and were presented to my son as trophies when he was in a league--they each have an engraved plate on the other side with details of the awards. The cute ball, bag, towel, and score cards were a lucky find at Target--they came in an accessory pack for Our Generation dolls.

Cinco de Mayo

Blythe a Day May 5, 2015
Cinco de Mayo

Did someone say "Fiesta"??

Happy Cinco de Mayo to everyone!

This is Eve, my Milky Way Sugar Blythe doll. I was hoping to show her posing with some half-size souvenir maracas my husband brought back to me from a trip near the Mexican boarder, but I couldn't get Eve to hold them in any sort of convincing way.  So I had to go with the back-up plan: a felt taco.
