I bought her quite a while ago to go with the beautiful cowgirl outfit DFD is wearing (which is Darling Diva’s stock). Finally I have the cowgirl picture I wanted! Travel #22: Peru

Never one to miss an opportunity, while visiting Peru, Zoe jumped at the chance to take a selfie with two llamas when she saw them in the wild.

Here’s the whole haul of vintage Barbie things from the antique mall. Apparently the vendor had just restocked her booth. As you can see, the brown coat is too big; I will either shorten the sleeves or just save it for when Barbie (or Ken?) makes a guest appearance in my Blythe pictures. Same with the shoes, because they don’t stay on Blythe very well, but the boots are great! And the ROLLER SKATES are amazing! Of course, the green top/dress is super groovy, and it fits Blythe perfectly, so I’m thrilled with that.

Travel #21: Travel Tips

“To make things easier when flying, be sure that your suitcase that stands out from the rest. Look at mine for example: it’s an eye-catching shade of pink, and it has my initial stamped on it. B for Blythe! I always spot it easily on the luggage carousel.”

Easter Countdown

We’re counting down the days till Easter!

Travel #19: Amsterdam

See Amsterdam like a local: ride a bike!

Amsterdam is known as “the city of bicycles”, because there are more bikes than residents. These Blythe dolls are Hello Arden, Stella Savannah, and Sweet Bubbly Bear (Neo’s); Yellow Marshmallow (Middie); and Ivanka Corneille (Petite). Travel #18: London

This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly London, so of course she was the one I chose to take to Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, for some pictures in the England section of the park. I’m still getting the hang of taking doll pictures outside…holding the doll in one hand while holding my phone and taking the picture with the other can be tricky! I snapped five or six pictures and hoped for the best, but I don’t like her pose here (I wish she was angled up more, as if looking at the clock, and her arms should be back more than they are) but I expect to get better with practice.

This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly Amaryllis. She’s actually posing at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. It’s a theme park that is divided into half a dozen European countries. In this picture, we are standing on the bridge into Ireland. Yep, I bravely brought two dolls with me to the park that day! If anyone gave me a strange look, I didn’t notice. Travel #8: TV

“You never know what you will find in your hotel room. This TV is a relic from the 60’s and only gets one channel, showing “Batman” reruns 24/7. I’m so happy! Batman is my favorite!”

This Blythe doll is Urban Fairy Ellie. The TV was a nice surprise from my friend Carole. It really works, and shows actual scenes from the original Batman. (The picture quality is quite good in real life, but I had to place it at an angle to my camera for this photo, which detracts from the quality of it.) The little remote controller works too! Travel #7: Williamsburg, Day Two

Travel #6: Williamsburg, Day One

 “It’s a beautiful spring day here in Williamsburg, Virginia. My name is Mary, and I’m touring the restored Colonial area; this lovely building behind me is the Governor’s Palace. Beginning in 1710, it was home to seven royal governors and the first two elected governors in Virginia. It was built to impress visitors with a display of authority and wealth.”

Travel #5: New York City

I plan to use more of these pages this month—there are forty to choose from—but coloring takes time, so I will only color the main image on each page. This is the perfect theme to show off my set of New York Sonny Angels. Aren’t they cute?

Travel #4: Passport

The world is so full of interesting places. How can a girl decide where to go first?

This Blythe doll is Hello Again Junie Moonie Cutie. I drew the signpost based on an image in a wonderful adult coloring book called “Meine Reise Durch Europa” by Rita Berman. I would have colored the page in the book, but it was too small to look right with a Blythe doll.

Travel #1: Travel Agents
