Pie!

Any time is a good time for pie.

These are my two newest dolls: Lovely Katherine’s Corner (Blythe) and Sweetie (Momiji). There was a sale on select Momiji dolls before Christmas—buy one, get one free—and I couldn’t say no! The very beautifully detailed Key Lime pie was a gift from my friend Julie (thanks Julie! I love it!)

Separated at Birth

Would it be Christmas without a new doll? Not in this house! Lovely Katherine’s Corner (right) joined the Blythe family this week, and she looks like Snowflake Sonata’s long-lost twin. They both have special brown eyelashes, and they both have a pink pull ring, and of course they both have long, gorgeous pink hair with bangs. I have always loved SS and considered getting a second one…I’m glad I held off doing that, because Katherine fills that spot perfectly.

Go Home!

I’ll be home for Christmas…as soon as I figure out how to load these presents, Bingo, and myself onto my scooter!

This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly Peony. The scooter, dog, and houses in the background all came from Target.

For all those who are traveling this week, we wish you a safe and speedy journey.

Last Call for Nutcrackers

Get your nutcracker here! We’ve got every size and style you could possibly imagine!

That’s Leading Lady Lucy in the booth, and Hollywood impersonating a nutcracker. I got this fabulous Byer’s Choice nutcracker stand at a big discount last year when a local store was going out of business.

Joy!

Angels are all around us.

This Blythe doll is Odette Lake of Tears. This simple picture is my favorite type to put together. The formula is: a Blythe doll (wearing a complete outfit) + an interesting background + a coordinating prop = a nice picture.

Snowy Day

Selling snowballs on a snowy day…isn’t a great idea. This isn’t working out any better than that time she tried to sell sea shells on the sea shore!

These Blythe dolls are Lady Panacea, Smiley Waffle (Middie), and Cherry Beach Sunset.

Christmas Reading

“I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.” – Jane Austen in Pride and Prejudice

This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla. I found her books at our local antique mall last week; they are meant to be ornaments, but they are perfect dolly books because they have words and images inside, not just blank pages. The background is wrapping paper—isn’t it cute?

“Snowfall rouses your inner child to dream and play once more.” —Angie Weiland-Crosby

Home

There’s no place like home for the holidays.

This lovely Blythe doll is Spring Hope. My lovely friend Angie Coppi made the super cute kitty cushions on the sofa. She and I exchanged Christmas packages, and she also sent me the pretty candy-striped dress and the dolly-sized cakes, among other things. Thanks Angie!

Downhill

“Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”

This Blythe doll is Elegant Ellie. We do have a bigger sled that would fit her better, but I thought this mini one made her look cuter!

Who makes the best hot chocolate? Santa’s elves, of course! They made this one just for you.

These are Takara Petites (the blonde is Connie Corneille and the brunette is Tora Unpappa.) The mug is an ornament from World Market. Aren’t their outfits adorable? They are from camillel on Etsy.

Santa’s Little Helper

“It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” —Mother Theresa

(This Middie Blythe doll is Francoise Ananassa. Her awesome hat is actually a Christmas ornament I found at Target a couple of years ago.)
