Princess...Layla?

These undies are fit for a princess!

This is actually "Princess" Collette (my Coco Collette Blythe doll). The panties are a recent custom order. I don't always take pictures of my custom orders, but I do like to have something new to post on my Blythe Happy Facebook page once in a while, so I came up with this. I used the color red as my theme to pull it together...did you notice that Collette's dress is made from the same silk fabric I used for the background?  Another item of note is her crown...it is a hairclip that is just perfect for Blythe. I bought one the first time I went to the store World of Mirth. When I got home and tried it on a doll, I regretted that I only bought one, so I went back the next week and got ten more!!! They come in different sparkly colors...gold, blue, pink, and white, in addition to silver. Some day I will have to do a picture of a princess lineup.

Good Boy!

Blythe a Day on Flickr
Theme: Outdoors

London has learned that love and patience
are the keys to successful obedience training.
Treats help too.

Last week I noticed that in the kid's meals at McDonalds, the prizes are plush toys from the movie "The Secret Life of Pets". I mentioned to my husband that they might be cute as dolly picture props, and the next thing I knew, he had gone to McDonalds for lunch and brought me the toy! This is Max, the first one in the set, and he is surprisingly well-made for a kid's meal freebee--I really think he's cute! And yes, he IS a good prop to go with my dolls--I feel that Blythe looks a bit cartoonish with her big head, so cartoonish props work well--and I foresee quite a few more trips to McDonalds in the coming weeks (there are 10 different toys). It's a good thing I like cheeseburgers!

New Toys

As soon as she brought the toys out of her bag,
the boys gave Paisley their full attention.

I had the good fortune to visit a toy store in Richmond (Virginia) last week, which carries Sonny Angels! I've always bought mine online in the past. I chose three of the blind boxes, and crossed my fingers that I wouldn't get any that I already have...and I didn't! I got this dog (they call it a shiba inu), pepper (they call it a pimento), and chocolate dessert. These boys bring my total collection of Sonny Angels up to 17. I enjoy incorporating them into my Blythe photos.

The three tiny toys that Paisley is handing out also came from that toy store (World of Mirth). They were hard to display along with the dolls, can you see them? That's a biplane on the sofa, a Statue of Liberty in Paisley's hand, and a puffer fish (which glows in the dark) on her lap. Yes, I am already planning a return visit to World of Mirth!

4th of July Celebration

Happy Independence Day!

This is Charlotte, my Precocious Candy's Mushroom Blythe doll. She is in completely stock condition, but I used Pic Monkey to change the color of her side-facing eyes from pink to blue for this theme.
