Most people adopt a dog or a cat. Jill suggests that you consider a parsnip. It is just as cute as those other options, but it doesn’t shed, and it’s very quiet—like a goldfish, but dryer. (She is Home Sweet Home. Dress by Brian Blythe. Parsnip from violetpi on Etsy.)

My Treasure
Kitschy Valentines 2021 #4. This is Blythe Adores Anna Sui, wearing the stock outfit from Sally Salamagundi (I do have the black eyepatch that goes with the outfit—somewhere—but I couldn’t find it when I working on this picture...so annoying!)

Happy Heart Month!
I just realized that it’s the third day of Heart month (aka February) and I haven’t posted a kitschy valentine yet. Here’s the first one; hopefully I will be inspired to come up with a few more in the next couple of weeks. Today’s model is Precocious Candy’s Mushroom. She was standing on the shelf wearing this perfect dress which was all the reason I needed to choose her.

Love a Cat
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” —Anatole France
Leading Lady Lucy found all of her best friends at the local shelter—and I found most of mine there too. I currently have eight cats; six of them came from the shelter. I got the last two almost a year ago, and I was a little worried that the people there would think I was a cat hoarder, and refuse to let me have them, because on the adoption application I had to list all the cats currently in the house. But they had no problem with it, and Melody and Queso Blanco joined the family, and they bring us so much happiness.
