Creative minds are rarely tidy.
For today’s theme in Blythe a Day on Flickr, “Creative Space”, I hesitantly reveal this picture of my doll room. Yep, it’s always a mess like this! I have too much stuff for the space, and I don’t tidy up completely after every photo shoot; I put the Blythes away properly on their shelves, but the props and clothes tend to pile up.

This Blythe doll is Dear Forest Deer wearing Henrietta’s Home Party’s stock dress for “Plant” in Blythe a Day on Flickr. The flower arrangement came from a “Make It Mini” ball. I prefer the mini balls with things that I don’t have to make! The resin (which holds the flowers in place and looks like water) was hard to get out of the tiny bottle and was rather messy.

Yes, I know I posted a picture for this theme yesterday, and here’s the story: my first thought for this theme was to use this apple sign, which I got a while ago when I did a whole month of apple pictures; but I had another idea which ultimately I chose to use for the theme. Then later the same day, I received some unexpected dolly mail from my friend Julie—she sent me this adorable apple dress and matching beret, so suddenly I needed to work on my first idea too, to use the apple sign along with this new outfit! I found this painted rock when I was out walking one day; painting rocks and then leaving them in public for anyone to find is quite a popular thing around here.
