July 2025 Theme: Alice

You are invited to play along with our July theme for Blythe photos in Blythe World on Facebook: “Alice, In or Out Of Wonderland”. There are no prizes, just the fun of making themed Blythe photos and the inspiration that comes from seeing what other people create. 

I’ve started a day early with Mermaid Tasha as my Alice, wearing a classic blue dress with white apron, and a black hair bow. I plan to incorporate daily themes from a group on Flickr called Blythe a Day into my Alice pictures, so she will probably have some unexpected adventures! I hope many of you will join in the fun, and let your imagination run wild!

Dolly Shelf

On my dolly shelf today: Simply Guava and Simply Mango. Underneath the dolly shelf, the old bookcase looks better now that I’ve painted it mint green. I like to pause here as I walk down the hallway, just to look at my cute dolls!

Party!

It’s Cindy’s twenty-first birthday. This calls for a celebration!

These Blythe dolls are Wishful Blythe & Stardust Cinnamoroll, Ichigo Heaven, and Smiley Waffle (Middie), for “Pink” in Blythe World on Facebook and “Twenty-One” in Blythe a Day on Flickr. Originally, this picture was going to be centered around an alcoholic drink, since 21 is the legal drinking age in the U.S., but I couldn’t find the dolly-size cocktail glass I thought I had!

Modern Art

Modern art is either cool or weird, depending on your point of view.

These Blythe dolls are Simply Guava and Simply Mango. I just love posing them together! This jigsaw puzzle in the background is both weird and cool to me; I think the colors and design are cool, but what a weird concept!

Favorite Book

Bookworms know that electronic book are great; but when there’s a book that you absolutely love, you will need a hard copy of it for your personal library.

This Blythe doll is Suri Sustainable, wearing a Dear Darling outfit from Junie Moon. I made the book by printing the cover image from the internet, then cutting pages from an old dictionary to fill it up. The background is a jigsaw puzzle.

That’s a Great Idea!

My friend Angie recently posted a picture of one of her Blythe dolls, saying that she was keeping her company as she did some things around the house. That is such a great idea! I thought of my Blythes, all sequestered upstairs in my doll room, and decided to bring some of them downstairs. 

I’ve been wanting to do something with this little alcove leading into the spare bedroom. It’s wide enough for this old bookcase (which I use for storage) without blocking the entrance to the room, so here’s what I did: on the top shelf of the bookcase, I put the beautiful box that Cinema Princess came in, along with a trinket dish and a cute lamp. Above that I installed two floating shelves side by side, and above that I covered the wall with felt tiles that are a cork board alternative. I did that so I could tack a jigsaw puzzle to the wall, and make a little scene with Blythe dolls in front of it. Hooray! Blythe dolls are downstairs now, and I plan to change out the puzzle and dolls whenever the mood strikes. I also added a row of note cards I made using some of my doll pictures. It looks so cute! Next I’m going to paint the bookshelf a minty green.

What do you think I’m keeping in Cinema Princess’s box?? I’m very happy to say that I got an Apple Watch for Mother’s Day, and I’ve gone a little crazy buying fun watch bands for it, as well as some super cute beaded bracelets to wear on the same wrist—the bands and bracelets are in the box. Every day I match my watch and bracelets to my outfit, and I love the pop of color I see every time I look at my wrist! Oh, hi Creamsicle!

Feed the Birds

Take My Advice

A word of advice: wear sneakers if you plan to do a lot of walking in the city. You won’t get far in stylish shoes!

Today is going to be a great day!

For the first day of the “Pink” challenge in Blythe World on Facebook, I’ve used one of my favorite Blythe dolls, Snowflake Sonata. Her hair is gorgeously long, smooth, and PINK, and her lips and blush are pink too, which I love. She will probably appear in a lot of my pictures this month (but I will give some other girls time in front of the camera, too!)
