Oct 31: Happy Halloween!

Welcome to Spooky Town! Happy Halloween!

This Blythe doll is Angellica Nurse of Compassion wearing Silent Lucretia’s stock outfit. The background is a jigsaw puzzle by Mudpuppy that is actually called “Welcome to Spooky Town”, which is today’s theme on Flickr! I came across the puzzle after I had finalized the list of themes—what a great coincidence!

Oct 30: Sit for a Spell

What could be more fun than sitting with your best friend, exchanging spells? Nothing, except maybe gazing into a crystal ball to see the future!

These Blythe dolls are Devi Delacour and Silent Lucretia for “Come in and sit for a spell” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The crystal ball is a Harry Potter thing; the ball itself is white, and it glows blue when illuminated by the light in the pedestal.

Welcome to The Pumpkin Patch! Would you like a ticket for the hay ride? It’s just one dollar!

These Blythe dolls are Apple Jamlicious (Middie), Devi Delacour (Neo), a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe, and Sweet Spell Scarlet (Petite), for Pumpkin Patch on Flickr and Bewitched on Facebook.

On the Dock

Every day she stands on the docks and longingly watches the boats come and go. When will it be her turn to have a seafaring adventure?

This Blythe doll is Sailing Dominique, wearing one of her stock outfits (except the shoes…her stock shoes are big and black; I think lighter shoes work better with this white dress.) The background is a jigsaw puzzle.

Oct 28: Trick or Treat!

Nothing could be more wonderful than going trick-or-treating with all your weird friends!

This Middie Blythe doll is Apple Jamlicious for “Weird and wonderful “ on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. I just love her skeleton costume that I got from eBay this year.

Oct. 27: At The Bakery

As they say at the bakery, it’s not a party without cake!

These Blythe dolls are Sarah Shades and Plaid Parade for “At the bakery” on Flickr. The gorgeous cake is a decoration that I got this year to use in my Halloween display on my mantel. I knitted their matching dresses a few years ago.

Oct 26: Relax

“Just close your eyes and sleep. When you wake up, it will be a little closer to the most wonderful day of the year: Halloween!”

These Blythe dolls are Apple Jamlicious (Middie) and Chocolat Blythe (Neo), for “Just Relax” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The cute bedding was made by Angie Coppi. I found Apple’s skeleton onesie (with skull sleep mask) on eBay. I made the background from scrapbooking papers.

Oct 25: White

Some of my best friends are ghosts!

This Blythe doll is Tokyo Bright for “White as a ghost” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. I have a nice collection of ghosts! The background is a poster, to which I added ghost stickers.

Sailing Dominique

Introducing my newest Blythe doll: Sailing Dominique! She’s super gorgeous with her long pink hair and translucent skin. She came with two beautiful outfits which carry out her sailing theme perfectly. The striped underwear is just too cute, and the life preserver purse is so unexpected and charming! Since taking this picture, I have washed her hair and used wig conditioner spray on it; now it is soft and smooth and tangle-free. More pictures to come soon!

Oct 24: Dance!

The Disco Ghost is always popular at a dance party!

These Blythe dolls are Silent Lucretia (Neo), Sweet Spell Scarlet (Petite) and Yellow Marshmallow (Middie) for “Everybody dance now” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. I added the disco lights effect with the app called A Color Story. I used the 3 day free trial because I don’t want to pay for another photo editing app! I already pay for PicMonkey, but it doesn’t have the effect I wanted for this photo.

What a BEAUTIFUL day to return my books to the library! There is so much black—my favorite color!

This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla for “Pitch black” on Flickr and “Bewitched “ on Facebook.

Oct 22: Claws

“Oh dear, the gargoyle has escaped from the castle again! I will try to lure him back with candy corn…this usually works.”

This Middie Blythe doll is Apple Jamlicious for “It has claws” on Flickr and “Bewitched “ on Facebook. The fabulous gargoyle came from Safari Ltd. Hat and cape from Junie Moon some years ago.

Oct 21: No Concerns Here!

“I have no concerns at all when I’m in this quiet spot.”

This Blythe doll is Milky Way Sugar for “Grave concerns” on Flickr. I wanted a pink sky for this picture, so I threw some paint on a canvas and it came out just right. I made her dress a few years ago.

Oct 20: Fashion

“Welcome to the Ghostly Grotto! We carry shrouds to fit every taste and budget!”

This Blythe doll is Minty Magic for “Ghost fashions” on Flickr and “Bewitched “ on Facebook. I made the sign last year; it originally read “Ghastly Grotto” so I just changed the “a” to an “o” to make it work for this theme!

Oct 19: It’s a Mystery

“Why is it doing that??”
“I have no idea. It’s such a mystifying oracle!”

These Blythe dolls are Brenda’s Extraordinary Day and Chocolat Blythe for “Mystifying oracle” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The background is one of my favorite jigsaw puzzles (I bought it for myself…then my husband gave me another one…then my son gave me one too!). The adorable ouija board/planchette is a Funko Pop. Isn’t it the cutest thing?

Oct 18: No Fear

If you are afraid of the dark, just go trick or treating during the day! You might get less candy, but you will have nothing to fear.

This Blythe Middie doll is Yellow Marshmallow for “There’s nothing to fear” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. Her friends are Funko Pops.

Oct 17: Cauldron

After several cauldron failures, finally, SUCCESS! A perfect poison apple!

This Blythe doll is Lady Panacea for “What’s in your cauldron?” on Flickr and “Bewitched “ on Facebook. This amazing poison apple came from my local antique mall, even though it’s new—some sellers offer new things along with old.

Oct 16: News

“Have you seen today’s newspaper? You’re famous!”

These Blythe dolls are Mandy Cotton Candy and Lady Panacea for “In today’s news” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. I found the newspaper online and printed it out.

Oct 13: Heart

Whatever you do, do it with all your heart.

This Blythe doll is Bow Wow Trad for “Put your heart into it” on Flickr and “Bewitched “ on Facebook. She’s lying on a chocolate box I saved from Valentine’s Day. Her fun dress is from RabbitinthemoonThai on Etsy.

Oct 12: Alebrije

“This is my new pet, Xolo. He’s an alebrije.”

“Oh, uh, nice! Is he, uh…supposed to look like that?”

These Blythe Middie dolls are Apple Jamlicious and Yellow Marshmallow for “Is it supposed to look like that” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. Beautiful Xolo is a Funko Pop alebrije (a brightly colored, imaginary creature made up of different animals, which originated in Mexico.) The background of this picture is a piece of fabric.

Oct 11: Spooky Vibes

Spooky friends are the best friends!

This Petite Blythe doll is Sweet Spell Scarlet for “Spooky vibes only” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. Her friend on the left is an ornament; her friend on the right is a mini Madame Alexander doll that was a McDonald’s happy meal toy in 2008. The background is a jigsaw puzzle.

Oct 10: Curiosities

One of Drusilla’s favorite activities is rearranging the display on her Bureau of Curiosities.

This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla for Bureau of Curiosities on Flickr and Bewitched on Facebook. With this close up angle, I couldn’t figure out how to include a pointy hat on Drusilla, since I’m putting a witch in every picture this month—then I realized that there is a witch on the bureau, so Drusilla didn’t need a hat! You can’t see too much of it, but this bureau is a beautiful old piece of doll furniture from the antique mall. I made her dress, as well as the two larger items on the bottom shelf: the purple blob (from air dry clay) and the monster book (from a matchbox).

Oct. 9: Natural Beauty

I tried every sample in the beauty supply store, and I am feeling BOO-tiful!

This Blythe doll is Silent Lucretia for “BOO-tiful” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The little cosmetics are from mini surprise balls.

Oct 8: Smoke

I think I need to turn down the flames, or my vegetable soup is going to be scorched!

This Blythe doll is Chocolat Blythe for “Why is there so much smoke?” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The background is a jigsaw puzzle. I made the smoke from the cauldron from scrapbooking paper; the flames are felt. Veggies on the cutting board are real, the one in the basket are artificial.

Oct 7: Day Job For a Witch

“What am I making? Oh, about $25 an hour including tips.”

This Blythe doll is Minty Magic for “What are you making” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. Her dress came from Etsy. The background is a jigsaw puzzle.

Oct 6: Not Creepy

I’m glad MY doll isn’t creepy!

This Middie Blythe doll is Apple Jamlicious for “Bewitched” on Facebook and “This doll is not creepy” on Flickr. This is the first time I’ve photographed her out of her stock outfit; I think she makes a sweet little witch. The Living Dolls billboard is a souvenir from Howl O Scream at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Her black cat doll is a mini Lalaloopsy.

Oct. 5: With an Owl to Lead the Way

It’s not easy being a vegetarian witch; fortunately, mushrooms make an excellent substitute for both eye of newt and toe of frog. Chocolat goes out to forage every evening, with her feathered friend Ghost the owl leading the way to the best mushroom patches.

This Blythe doll is Chocolat Blythe, for “It has feathers” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The owl came in a Harry Potter play set; it looks as much like a ghost as an owl, but either way, it works for this Halloween theme! The background is a poster.

Oct. 4: Crazy Aunt Hilda

This is a picture of Crazy Aunt Hilda. We called her that because she always dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein, even when it wasn’t Halloween!

This Blythe doll is Silent Lucretia, for “Meet My Crazy Aunt Hilda” on Flickr. When I was compiling the list of themes for this month, this one seemed like it might be too weird to work, but I kept it, and I am eager to see how everyone interpreted it! Isn’t this background jigsaw puzzle so funny? I really enjoyed making it. I’ve had Lucretia since she was released in February of this year, but I’ve only taken a few pictures of her. I think this spooky season is her time to shine!

Oct. 3: A Nice Night for a Ride

The moon is full! Let’s ride, ghouls!

This is a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe doll, joined by a mini Lalaloopsy and two Calico Critters, for “Let’s Ride” on Flickr. I wanted to use my Takara Petite witch, but since this is a flat lay, her eyes would have been closed. The background is a picture on canvas that lights up; I got it from Michael’s.

Oct. 2: That’s a Great Hat!

“I’d be a wicked witch without my morning coffee! Oh, by the way, have you seen my hat? It’s new!”

This Blythe doll is Quintessential Journey for “Have you seen my hat?” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. Her hat really is new; it was sold as a (human) hair clip at the drugstore. The background is scrapbooking paper.

Oct. 1: Haunted House

A good real estate agent knows her client’s preferences and only shows her houses she will love.

These Blythe dolls are Sarah Shades and Quintessential Journey for “How to sell a haunted house” on Flickr.
