Come on, get happy!
Simply Guava and Simply Mango…how can they be so cute? Some day I will change them out of their stock outfits, but not today. I have another photo idea for them before I do. Thanks to Sandie Sinatra for their sweet little dolly.
Have a bright and beautiful day, my friends!
I am LOVING my new Simply Mango and Simply Guava! They were super easy to un-box (there was not a lot of tape or twist-ties) and their hair was great—no need to wash it before taking pictures.
Let the unboxing begin!! I don’t know why it took me so long to get these two (Simply Mango and Simply Guava), since fantasy hair is my favorite! I can’t wait to start taking their pictures.
Wishing you a beautiful Christmas!

This Blythe doll is Tokyo Bright. Her bunny friend is an ornament. The background is scrapbooking paper, and the sledding scene is a mini puzzle.
I put this outfit together from odds and ends in my dolly wardrobe…I made the dress, and a swap partner made the ear muffs; and the coat and mittens were part of a “lot” of used dolly clothes I purchased a while ago. I really like how everything looks together.
You know that Christmas is coming when Christmas trees are everywhere!
This Blythe doll is Bow Wow Trad, wearing a tunic I recently made. She’s posing with a mini jigsaw puzzle that is the first one from a 12-day Advent calendar—no, I didn’t wait, I went ahead and made all the puzzles as soon as they arrived!
Give thanks with a happy heart. Let’s start with pie!

Dear Forest Deer is here…and I absolutely LOVE all of her stock clothing! I didn’t realize, until I got her, that she actually has two dresses, and they are both very well made, and have beautiful details: lace and ribbons on the sleeves of the underdress, and gold lace at the neck and hem, as well as gold bows on the bodice of the overdress. Also, the bodice of the overdress is velvet, which is a luxurious touch. The earmuffs are actually the item that made her irresistible to me…and they are adorable! My favorite detail of the ensemble is the tiny metal acorn and leaf on the front of the stole; it is charming! The doll herself is lovely, and again Good Smile had given us a girl with an great abundance of hair. It is thick and slightly wavy, and lovely right out of the box (with a lot of gentle brushing). Dear Forest Deer is a winner!
Feels like fall.
This pretty Blythe doll is Brenda’s Extraordinary Day. The hat is by Elifins and the dress is by Corinne Massacry.

Aaaaahhh! RUN! No one wants to meet with a harrowing demise!
This is not my usual type of picture; even at Halloween I like to keep things light and cute, but I came across the phrase “harrowing demise” on a hand-painted poster at my local theme park (Busch Gardens, Williamsburg Va.) and it sparked my imagination. I looked it up just to be sure I understood the meaning of “harrowing”— it means “acutely distressing or painful”—so yes, that is exactly the type of demise that would best be avoided! Picture of the poster inspiration below. This Blythe doll is Devi Delacour.
Nervously, you sit down across from the fortune teller. She gazes silently into the crystal ball. Suddenly, in a loud voice she announces: “That which you seek is seeking you!” You gasp in surprise as you realize that your fortune is exactly what you had hoped for!
This Blythe doll is Zyanya Remembers, wearing her stock dress and Lady Panacea’s headpiece. The crystal ball is a snow globe-type thing, filled with clear liquid and very fine shimmering glitter that swirls beautifully when you shake the globe. I had to shake it repeatedly as I worked on this picture!
Great-Aunt Ima loved Halloween, so Jane always puts orange flowers on her grave in October. Luckily, Jane isn’t bothered by paranormal activity.
