I’m afraid many people would disagree with this quote, as winter makes one last big effort across much of the United States this week in the form of a huge blizzard. I’m thankful to live in Virginia; we have had beautiful weather recently (yesterday it reached 80 degrees!)

As I mentioned recently, I keep my eyes open for beautiful variegated yarn, and the bright neon colors of this skein really spoke to me. I love how the scarf came out with distinct bands of color, but the hat is a different story! I don’t really like how the colors mix together so much. Maybe if I add a big pink pompon to the top I will like the hat more.
And that was the day Hope realized that “luck” means being in the right place at the right time.

I had only a small amount of this yarn, just enough to make the sweater and matching beret, plus another short sleeved sweater. I’ve never found yarn like this again, and I’ve looked!

These headbands are actually braided fabric bracelets that I made years ago when I was very active on a crafting site. I added some ribbon to the back to make them fit Blythe’s head. I really like how they look.

Lovely Katherine’s Corner is posing for the theme “Flats” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. These are my favorite stock shoes, because they fit perfectly and look so cute! The red ones are from Cherry Beach Sunset; I don’t remember who the pink ones belong to…does anyone know?
It turns out that she chose the pink shoes and her pink heart purse for a walk by the water. The background is a jigsaw puzzle I just finished. I couldn’t decide if I should save it permanently as a photo background by putting tape on the back, or just put it back in the box. This picture of Katherine on top of it shows me that the scale is a little too “off” for me, so I took it apart.

Her outfit is part of Ichigo Heaven’s stock…which actually comes with an oven mitt, which I could not find, so I made my own. The kitchen and all the props are from Our Generation play sets at Target.

As you can see, this cookie is slightly smaller than her head, so it is a perfectly acceptable snack.

Please believe me when I tell you that she is wearing red shoes—since that is the theme of this picture! I planned it in my head, then had it all set up before I realized that there was no way I could make even the toe of her shoe show without messing up the drama of the dress or make her stand awkwardly, and therefore ruin the picture.

I’ve had Ellie since she was released in 2019. I took her out of her box at that time, but didn’t bother to take out her stock, until I was tidying my doll room this week and came across the box—I was surprised to see that it was still full of goodies! She has some lovely pieces, including this necklace and earring set.
