The larger animals came as a set; I think it’s funny that they are similar in size, rather than being the right scale in relation to each other. The goat is waaay too big, making the cow look tiny! (The ram is standing on a platform, but he is the same size as the cow.)

This is my NEW girl, from Mandarake: Wishful Blythe & Stardust Cinnamoroll. Isn’t she gorgeous? She’s wearing all of her stock except the hat with long ears—I swapped it for a headband I made, because that hat is a bit much—but I love her dress! I drew and colored her paper bouquet, and wrapped it in a book page that came as packaging for a doll dress. I knew I was saving that page for something!

World Peace

The theme is “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The flower is real; I discovered it in my yard underneath the bird feeder—one of the sunflower seeds dropped by the birds actually grew and bloomed! 

One-Third

With a steady hand, Veronica prepares to measure out one-third of a cup of milk for her muffin recipe.

This Blythe doll is Bow Wow Trad. One of the suggestions for today’s theme was something divided into thirds, so baking came to mind. She’s in her Mini Verse Make It Mini kitchen. I purchased this at Target last December, and I recently received a recall notice because it comes with little plastic food parts and resin to use in combining them…the resin is the problem, in that it can cause respiratory and skin irritation. Since this is marketed towards children, I can see that it would be a concern. Anyway, I have no interest in the “making” part of this item, so I will just chuck the resin in the trash. Problem solved.

This doll is my Kenner Blythe. I chose her for this theme, “None Shall Sleep”, because her wide-open eyes always make her look like she’s had retook much caffeine. I didn’t have time to make a drawn prop of the NoDoz bottle, so I printed this picture of the bottle from the internet and cut it out for her to hold.
