Eve was so excited to travel to Paris that she made an absolute spectacle of herself with her limited French.
These Blythe dolls are Milky Way Sugar (Neo) and Lena Elena (Middie), posing for the theme “Travel” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

It was a great day for both horse and rider at the Blytheville Equestrian Show! Cecilia and Maximus won a ribbon in every event they entered, and they were named the overall champions!
This Blythe doll is Cinema Princess, wearing one of her stock outfits, for the theme “Horse” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. When I was a teenager, I had a horse and rode in some horse shows. It was fun!
Two beautiful words: “tea” and “friendship”.
These Blythe dolls are two of my favorites, because of their beautiful pink hair: Lovely Katherine’s Corner, and Snowflake Sonata. This picture is for the theme “Friendship” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I wasn’t happy with the photo at first—all that pink looked flat and boring—so I added the background in PicCollage.
The call came at midnight:
“Nurse Angellica, can you help? Our boarding school has been hit hard by the flu epidemic and our infirmary is overwhelmed!”
“I live to serve; I’m on my way!”
This Blythe doll is Angellica Nurse of Compassion wearing her stock outfit. The background is the front cover of our Madeline Pop-Up Dollhouse. This picture is for the theme “Illness” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
There’s more to Donna than just doughnuts! In the evenings she works at Pop’s Diner. She can handle the heaviest trays with ease, and delivers dinners with a smile. She’s quite an accomplished young lady!
This Blythe doll is Donna Doughnut, wearing her stock outfit, posing for the theme “Accomplished Young Lady” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a jigsaw puzzle.
Jane dropped everything and drove to rescue Ellie from a potentially bad situation in the city, proving that a true friend doesn’t need any persuasion to be helpful.
These Blythe dolls are Elegant Ellie and my Kenner, Jane, posing for the theme “Persuasion “ in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
That’s what friends are for. (To be continued.)
This Blythe doll is Elegant Ellie, posing for the theme “Social Call” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I found this super cool phone booth at the antique mall. It has a phone dial and receiver fixed to the back wall…but Ellie needed to hold the receiver, so I drew one for her.
If you’re enjoying the housework, is it really work?
This Blythe doll is Picnic Al Fresco wearing Henrietta’s Home Party’s stock outfit for the theme “Housework” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a jigsaw puzzle. The ironing board and iron came from an online store called Azul Homey. Everything is very similar to Maileg. The quality of the items is amazing—the iron and the board are both metal, and very sturdy.
The love of quilting is their common thread.
These Blythe dolls are Stella Serendipitous, Coquette Lumiere, and Leading Lady Lucy, posing for the theme “Needlework” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. My friend Angie Coppi made the beautiful dolly quilt for us.
Have you hugged a cow today? Grace has!
This Blythe doll is Petit Dejeuner Champs Elysees, wearing Urban Cowgirl’s stock outfit for the theme “Farm Life” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. How about that cow, huh?? What a beauty! She’s another recent purchase from my local antique mall (they love me there).
It’s just another quiet day at Fairview Cemetery.
This Blythe doll is Stella Serendipitous, posing for the theme “Widow” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I am preparing to host the October group, and I was retrieving my Halloween props from the closet when inspiration struck for this picture. I’ve done SO MANY Halloween Blythe photos, but I’ve never had a widow in a cemetery, so, yay! Something new!
Surround yourself with beautiful things and your thoughts will be light, bright, and happy.
This Blythe doll is Miss Sally Rice, posing for the theme “Library/Read” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. Usually, I just focus on one aspect of a theme if two are given, but this time I was able to show both “reading” and “library” with the help of the jigsaw puzzle I used for the background. Her book is a Hallmark ornament, with real pages inside.
You might want to think twice before accepting an invitation from Angellica while she’s learning to cook!
This Blythe doll is Angellica Nurse of Compassion, posing for the theme “Dinner Party” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
When the weather is fine, Marta likes to walk to the chapel on Sunday morning.
This Blythe doll is Winterish Allure, posing for the theme “Chapel” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The pretty background is a poster. The chapel is a decorative birdhouse.
Have you ever given a bull a bath? Nicky advises you to use a long-handled mop to reach the top of his head.
This Blythe doll is Picnic Al Fresco, wearing Henrietta’s Home Party’s stock dress and hair band for the theme “Bath” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
Donna is proud of her doughnut making skills!
This is my newest Blythe doll, Donna Doughnut. She’s fabulous, and her outfit is so perfect and colorful that this was probably the easiest doll picture I’ve ever made. I just braided her hair and plunked her down on this recently completed puzzle, added a couple of props, and there you have it. I couldn’t decide which orientation was best, so I made both a horizontal and a vertical version, and changed her eye colors so the photos would look a bit different. These pictures are for the theme “Pride or Prejudice” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
“Without music, life would be a blank to me.” —Jane Austen, “Emma”
This Blythe doll is Tokyo Bright, wearing Leading Lady Lucy’s stock outfit for the theme “Music” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I’ve done this theme quite a few times before, which makes it hard to come up with something new. I am quite pleased with this picture; it’s a simple layout but makes a bold impact with the primarily black and cream color scheme.
“There are as many forms of love as there are moments in time.” —Mansfield Park by Jane Austen
This Blythe doll is Spright Beauty, posing for the theme “Love” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. My picture was a bit plain, so I used PicCollage to add to the background.
On the night of the ball, Aurella’s dance card was monopolized by Ken, the town’s most eligible bachelor, while the other girls looked on in dismay.
These Blythe dolls are Charlotte Des Fleurs, Aurella Amphitrite, and Mandy Cotton Candy, posing for the theme “Ball” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
“Smell the sea and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly.” —Van Morrison
This Blythe doll is Lady Camellia, posing for the theme “Seaside Holiday” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a jigsaw puzzle. I made the dress; Angie Coppi made the bracelet and necklace.
Before heading out to make her debut at the ball, Aurella has to decide if she will wear her family tiara, or not. To wear it might make her appear ostentatious; without it, she might fade into anonymity.

A warm fire makes everything feel happy and cozy.
The Petite on the left is a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe doll; the one on the right is a by Takara. The fire is an ornament from World Market. The car and camper are from Target. This picture is for the theme “Fireplace” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
As members of the Anti-Gossip Society of America, Veronica and Ellie always speak kindly of others.
These Blythe dolls are Bow Wow Trad and Prima Dolly London, posing for the theme “Gossip” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I just got the stock outfit from Hunny Bunny; in addition to the rabbit costume (not pictured), there is a cute outfit that I divided between these two girls for this picture. On the left, headband, shoes and socks. On the right, dress, jacket and purse.
There’s nothing like a walk in the countryside to clear your mind.
This Blythe doll is Can Can Cat, posing for the theme “Country Walk” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The dress and hat are Longing for Love’s stock outfit. The cape is a piece of handmade lace gifted to me by a dolly friend (thanks, Katherine!)
It’s been a while since Merry last wrote a letter to her old friend Madeline. Looking at their class picture (in the front row, Merry is the third girl from the right; Madeline is on the end) she tries to think of what she will say.
This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly Marigold posing for the theme “Write a Letter” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. She’s sitting in our new-to-us Madeline Pop Up Dollhouse. It’s a four room house made of cardboard that folds flat when not in use. I love the graphics on the walls and floors. I also found a set of Madeline dollhouse furniture on eBay; the chair and bookshelf are two of the pieces.
“Fairer than all the flowers that bloom, is Jane.” —L.A.L., Ode To Jane
This is my Kenner Blythe doll, wearing Coquette Lumiere’s stock outfit for the theme “Bonnet” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I named her Jane, so she must appear at least once for this month of Jane Austin-inspired daily themes!
“How good is man’s life, the mere living! How fit to employ all the heart and the soul and the senses forever in joy!” —Robert Browning
These Blythe dolls are Ice Rune, Nellie Nibbles, and Playful Raindrops. Nellie is holding a very well-loved (meaning: in rough condition) old doll that I recently found at the antique mall. At first I looked at her, laughed, and walked on. Then I thought she would be perfect as a doll for a Blythe doll, so I went back to get her. Today’s theme is “Sense or Sensibility”; I started with the quote from Browning (which contains the word “senses” so it does actually touch upon the theme), then I put together this picture to try to capture the joy of living.
After doing extensive research, Savannah has concluded that there is no such thing as “too many books” or “too many cats”.
This Blythe doll is Stella Savannah, posing for the theme “Novel” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a jigsaw puzzle. The big books in this picture came from my local library; patrons can donate unwanted books which the library sells for just one dollar! It’s actually been a few years since I’ve stepped foot in the library, though; recently, I’ve been doing all my reading electronically.
